After the death of Enigma, the Deceptions have stopped at nothing to get revenge on the Autobot that killed her, Optimus Prime. With vengeance being the main goal, and more questions being asked than answers, what will be faced and who will be charged with murder. During a battle with the Decepticons, Optimus is turned into a sparkling. Ratchet races against time to restore him before they lose the Optimus they know. The rest of the team tries to help their leader the best they can. Keeping him safe and also making sure he doesn't feel useless. Can they help him before the sparkling decides he needs to battle Megatron?

With Team Prime scattered to the winds, and their base destroyed, the Autobots must regroup and take the fight back to the Decepticons, even as the Decepticons bring a new force to the fight, the Predacons. The fight against the Predacons will bring new allies, and new enemies. It will also determine the fate of both Cybertron and Earth. Years after the war for Cybertron the Autobots return to Earth to face a new threat.

The discovery sends waves of horrible emotions through him. The Autobots are all dead. He remembers. The human companions are all dead. Earth is Cyberformed and under Megatron's reign. Megatron... Once a brother, now the worst of his enemies. A murderer. A cold spark with no regrets of his evil actions. Optimus is healing, but as he is drowned with grief, Megatron lingers over his thoughts. Autobots and Decepticons alike are flocking back home, ready to rebuild their restored planet. Optimus' dreams of redemption for all beings is finally coming true. With the war finally over, Ratchet and Optimus finally get to live their fantasy of having a family. Optimus didn't anticipate the target that would be put over Ratchet's head once he became sparked. A small band of Decepticons aren't satisfied with the way things played out. Seeking revenge and compensation, they take the sparked medic hostage, and the race begins. Optimus must juggle his Primely duties and searching for his medic while complying to the outrageous demands. His desperation is what leads him to Megatron.
