MAX30100 Pulse Oximeter Heart Rate Sensor Module
The MAX30100 Pulse Oximeter Heart Rate Sensor Module, known as Heart Rate click, operates through an optical sensor. This sensor utilizes two LEDs, a red and an infrared one, to emit wavelengths and measure the absorbance of pulsing blood with a photodetector. The combination of these LED colors is specifically designed to provide accurate readings when placed on the tip of one’s finger.

The low-noise analog signal processing unit processes the signal and transmits it to the target MCU via the mikroBUS I2C interface. However, developers should be aware that excessive motion and temperature fluctuations may affect the accuracy of the readings. Additionally, applying too much pressure could restrict capillary blood flow and compromise the reliability of the data. To provide further customization, there is a programmable INT pin available on this device. It operates with a 3.3V power supply.
