Viktor has his credit stolen time and time again by the face of progress, Jayce. And this time, he won't accept it.

Jayce and Viktor have been best friends and lab partners for 3 years. Viktor is more reserved while Jayce is the "Golden Boy" of Piltover city. They created Hextech together and have become closer over the years. Jayce sees Viktor as his best friend mostly but he soon starts to struggle with...deeper feelings that he doesn't yet understand.

After not really knowing each other in highschool Viktor and Jayce reunite. Viktor can't stand Jayce and Jayce barely knows of Viktors existence. When the two are placed in a dorm together lots of feelings start to form between the two. This is a Jayvik College AU where Jayce is wrapped around Viktors finger. However, one seems to stick out like a sore thumb. When he meets his new roommate, the two seem to have nothing but negative opinions and feelings towards one another. Though, as the school year progresses and they're forced into a project together, their opinions and feelings begin to change.

After the events in the lab, Jayce and Viktor struggle to discuss what happened between them. They try to maintain professionalism and focus on their work, but it turns out to be far more challenging than they initially thought. "Walls We Built" Jayce's life has always been about keeping people out. The walls he's built around himself are thick, forged from years of abuse and silent suffering. He's perfected the art of hiding his pain, masking it behind a mask of arrogance and the occasional taunt. He bullies Viktor, not because he wants to, but because Viktor reminds him of himself and so he uses him as an outlet. Viktor knows what it's like to keep others at a distance. His own history has taught him that trust is a dangerous thing. But when Jayce stumbles back into their dorm one night, bloodied and barely holding it together, something shifts.
