Mankind reached the stars. Colonies on distant worlds mark the dawn of a new era. The future seems bright and lucrative to those whom fuel the colonisation-business. The diaspore found the base of techs meant to the next generations and science flourish upon the rich treasures of freshly conquered worlds. But a series of bad decisions could ruin the precious new dawn and may trigger a rude awakening... Would the colonies burn like a bonfire of worlds? Could the wrong decisions be fixed to extinguish the sparks? Or hope fade away in the vast space among the stars?

This is the story I'm writing for NaNoWriMo 2015. The goal: 50,000 word RAW draft written entirely in the month of November. Unlike most of my stories, which I prefer to edit before posting, I'm actually going to post updates to this at the end of each day in chapter-sized chunks. The idea behind this story is that a terrorist attack in the near future causes the US to go hyper-isolationist, to the point that it abandons Hawaii and Alaska to fend for themselves. They do, forming the United Pacific States (maybe with a few other island countries). Hawaii then goes on to turn itself into the new world police with stealthy, genetically modified cyber-soldiers. I'm marking this story as mature because there will be action scenes, and probably some interesting perspectives on nudity and relationships. I'm not planning on anything explicit, but this won't be a kids book. Validated winner at 50,040 words!

In the future, with the development of interstellar technology, space colonization has become a reality. Planets soon became inhabited by humans, and sectors of space have been explored. In the year 2315, two human worlds are suddenly wiped out by an advanced alien race. This race know as "The Terrans" begin a year long war with Earth, and Earth succeeds in victory. Humanity was able to live out the next 15 years in peace. 15 years after the war, in 2330, 15 year old Alex Cooper gets involved in a deadly situation with the Terrans. After losing his father to a sudden terrorist attack caused by the Terrans, Alex joins the Exos Corps, the worlds largest private military company, and the only ones powerful enough to stop the Terrans. With the help of his friends, and a vast artillery of weapons, Alex vows to protect not only Earth, but every human colony. *This is my FIRST story so there may be some spelling errors or mistakes.*

Twenty years after the end of the Cyborg War, the last cyborgs try to hijack a starship on its way to terraform an alien world. They want the new colony to be a cyborg colony in which they will rebuild their strength and practice their way of life. During the fighting, though, the starship is damaged, so that instead of travelling light years across space it ends up a billion years in the future, alongside a planet Earth that is near the end of its life. The cyborgs, momentarily defeated, leave the ship in a captured landing craft and go down to the planet, but before they go they sabotage the ship so that it is no longer able to support life. The crew have no choice but to follow them down to the planet where they have to fight not just the cyborgs but also forms of life a billion years more evolved than humans. Creatures that have grown tough and hardy in an attempt to cope with the increasingly harsh conditions that prevail there. As if things weren't bad enough, there is conflict among the ship's crew as they fight to decide which of them will be in charge and how they will meet the challenges facing them, and even if they survive all this they will still have to deal with the discovery of the ultimate fate that awaits all intelligent life in the universe...

In the year 2090, humanity made contact with something in deep space. In 2091, second contact was made, and the invasion of the Chitters began. Planet Earth is on the brink. Without usable fossil fuels, every world government has completely collapsed, globalization is a thing of the past, and those who remain are huddled in small communities across the barren landscape. Now with the added danger of the Chitters, few are able to keep their heads up in this dark time. Orson's Island is one of the only communities that have been able to hold back the alien invasion. However, now the Chitters have a new weapon: the deadly and powerful guardians, gigantic creatures that can devastate entire cities in minutes. Everett Allers and his sister Sophie, determined to fight back against the apocalypse, team up with Nikki, a mysterious biohacker, and the Night Banshees, a crew of bomber pilots who have been pivotal in this bleak war. Their only hope is to seek out the Acropolis - a near-mythical place located somewhere in the darkness of space. It is there where humanity will find its salvation - if Everett and his friends can make it there.

With the impressive technology that was created during this period most would beleive that they would use this technology to expand the Race to other systems, but that would be a downfall however. Two years later a singular Rebel Cell has overthrown the government of the United States and has plunged the World into a desperate War to reclaim the Country that is no longer a Democracy. During the two years prior however Technology was to be proved as the downfall for several countries including U.S and China which had found themselves fighting for control over this one group. In the midst of the Combat the Contentinal Empire under the Rulership of Steven 1 has managed to push back the Allied forces with the help of a young and great strategic Leader known as "Frame". With his past and his history being a mystery "Frame" has been known to be one of the greatest Strategic minds since the famed Napoleon Bonaparte 1, leading victory after victory without a single loss. But when an allied Europe along with Russia plans to attack this solomn force of foes the Young General prepares for a counter attack that will plung the World into a State of War once more.

So we ran and ran until we were backed right into a corner. The future has now become the present, and we can no longer run. So how does humanity respond, when it's very existence is threatened? Does it respond with words? With ideas and theories? But what if that doesn't work? Does it respond by blade? How will humanity take on its biggest enemy yet... itself.
