Blocky, through a friend, obtained a spot in Soviet television, becoming the most famous comedian of the entire communist period, Stalin's closest friend and a later media personality too big to be purged. This is well known.

He wrote nothing during his his time in the military. To improve his image as a glorious veteran, loyal communist and excellent husband, as well as provide a good example to the populace, this was revised. These letters, fabricated 20 years after the fact, are propaganda as simple as you get it.

Ghost-written by comrades Ryba(袪褘斜邪), Orech(袨褉械褏), Slyuna(小谢褞薪邪) and Chesnok(效械褋薪芯泻), none of whom had any battlefield experience, they nonetheless provide a useful view into their personal attitudes, as well as society around them.
We are releasing them as fast as we can translate, though limited interest is slowing us down. All words of support go a long way.
