The world of motorsport had once been her home, but after nearly four years away, caused because of a breakup, school finals and the start of university, the Bahrain Grand Prix weekend of 2023 marked her hesitant return. At just 19, the Monegasque girl was no stranger to the adrenaline-fueled chaos of racing, yet something felt different this time.

Franco Colapinto, a rising Argentine star, was making his Formula 3 debut, his mind set on proving himself on the world stage. The weekend was his chance to leave a mark, to show that he belonged among the best. But before the first race even began, an unexpected collision-off the track-threw him off balance.
