As a Cursed elf, one born with no magic, Edwyr has been forced to live among humans for over ten years. He doesn't mind his job of defending the town that he now lives in from beast attacks, and he gets along with most of the humans well enough, but he can never quite make the bitterness and resentment over being exiled go away. Life goes on as usual until a talented but inexperienced elf named Feyrith arrives and tells Edwyr that the High Elven Council wants him to help Feyrith on a quest. Despite his hatred towards the Council, Edwyr ends up agreeing, if only because he doubts Feyrith can survive a trip like this alone. The task is to investigate strange magical energies in a ruin a few days' travel away. Edwyr assumes that the only thing to worry about will be avoiding getting killed by the jungle wildlife, but the mission turns much more complicated when they stumble across a conspiracy that aims to change everything about the elven society. What is this story? The main character of this story, Wilclif, is a Dungeons and Dragons character I have created. He is an intriguing character that has a very interesting backstory. This book goes over the early events of his childhood where Wilclif is taught his first lessons putting him on a path of adventure and I intend on creating more books about the adventures of Wilclif leading up to the campaign he is being used in. I am writing this as the campaign is going on so depending on the events of this campaign will affect the future of this series that I intend to write. As she begins her life journey within the city of Summerville as a Childcare Administrator for the Orphanage she grew up in, she begins to discover that the world around her isn't as black and white at it appeared in her youth. As she tries to navigate these events the best she knows how, she shares those moments with new friends and a potential love interest. Nothing is written in stone however, so securing a future in an unpredictable world can be challenging. Hopefully, with the right guidance and heroes to save the day, the future will be a bright one.
