We were trying for so long to find normal that we forgot what it was. Forever we searched, we survived, we sacrificed, but in the end we had us. Us was a strange, very unlikely group of people. We didn't have much except secrets, sarcasm, and an endless amount of obstacles; but despite it all we had an epic story that was cut too short.

A true story about how I overcome sexual assault, domestic violence, drug addiction and more. This story shows the harsh reality of getting into horrific situations as an adult with a hidden disability. The world is a cruel place and when someone speaks out nobody usually listens, so I wrote my experiences down in hopes that I can help anybody avoid the situations I have been involved in. Every life is precious and nobody deserves to have experienced the things I've been through so please read this short story, please think your decisions through and look out for others. Beck is top of her class when it comes to Maths and Science and her future seems bright. However, she struggles with social anxiety and relationships. Beck is autistic and spends most of her life locked away in her own mind as she reads her collection of books to escape her abusive alcoholic father. But once her eyes meet a grey eyed boy from across the room her world won't be the same. (18+ violence, adult themes, bullying, harassment and other issues) Being Autistic myself I have put a lot of me in this book. I've exaggerated certain aspects for entertainment values but other than that this is how awkward I feel most of the time. I don't see many books by women who write about their experiences in a creative way to spread awareness in a fun and compassionate way. This is mine I guess. I hope you enjoy this short story.
