This story begins in the country of Britannia. A country where several certain races live with one another. And at the center of these races stood a girl. A beautiful girl with wild molten hair and eyes that reflected the universe. She was the creation of love and the child of wilderness. She was someone full of wisdom, wisdom she had gathered from centuries of experience. Many don't know how she was born, some saying that she was the daughter of the blazing sun while others say that she was born from ashes during an alluring eclipse. The name they called her? Malaika Kya. Angel from the diamond sky. For eons she wandered, visiting many kingdoms and gaining many friends. She battled battles that many would have died from, protecting those she holds dear. Slowly, her family began to grow. Person by person, home by home, kingdom by kingdom. Her heart spreading the biggest of wings. But then it happened. The one she loved most was attacked, almost dying because of someone's idiocy. And so she fought. She fought for her dying family, soon gaining the powers of the internal flame buried deep inside her. Screeching her painful cry, she fought in her new form with all her might. But it wasn't enough as it's hand sprouted from her body. Tears fell from the eyes of her lover, his eyes wide as he watched her body wither in pain. Hey dark eye were gentle a she watched his physical pain disappear, his wounds sealed shut as he snatched her closer one more time. Softly she apologized, saying words she wanted so badly to say before sealing their goodbye with a kiss. During winter break, a retreat welcomes 20 students from a nearby city school into Evergreen, a small friendly mountain town known for it's scenic views and cozy inns sought after for the vacation vibe. Welcomed to take part in a retreat promoting mindfulness and self-growth, the students on this trip find this as the opportunity to do everything but that. On a hike, a group of students wander out to a nearby grotto where they discover a plethora of flowers. Entranced by their beauty, they decide to take some back with them. Within hours of this event, one of their chaperones falls ill. She becomes extremely irritable and erratic with everyone she encounters in town. Soon enough, other townspeople begin to fall ill with similar symptoms and this sends a wave of panic over the town and its inhabitants. The local sheriff decides to place a quarantine on the town to avoid new people from becoming affected and preventing those who are ill from leaving and possibly spreading the mysterious malady. It seems no one from the outside world is aware of what is happening and because people are succumbing to this mysterious ailment, there is no one making it down the mountain safe enough to reach someone for help. In the news, a huge storm is forecasted, thus the kids must decide whether to forge their potential fate or take the trip down.
