Life was dull, boring, and mechanical. I’ve always wondered if this would change. If something interesting will happen. I always hoped something interesting will happen. A falling meteor that would destroy half of town, an alien invasion, or even the Apocalypse. Anything, just to relieve me of this monotonous life I lead. “Urgh,” I groaned as I reached over to turn off the alarm clock that sounded like a hundred sirens in the early hours of dawn. The golden sun hasn’t come out to expel the surrounding darkness yet. I figured it would take an hour more or so for the sun to show its shining face, so I decided to eat breakfast and take a bath first. I feel like I tried to make it realistic and avoid silly grammar errors but its definitely no Nobel Prize haha. I thought adding the whole undercover spy aspect to the story would make it more interesting but surprise surprise... I'm not actually a spy! And I don't have a brain like one either lol. Unfortunately. But yeah, I tried and many readers seemed to enjoy the story so I'll tell myself it was decently written haha

Everything was gone. I sobbed, my clothes ripped and I was bleeding, but it didn't matter. I had to get to her, to them. I took a second look and saw white hair, caked with dirt, and yellow eyes, blue veins sparking in their depths. All at once, I remembered who I was.
