"Sometimes betrayal comes in the quietest ways."

Is it better to speak or to die? Dawn has always been quiet when it comes to her feelings. She never told anyone what happened that night, not until she met him. Cam, her knight in shining armour. But can there truly be a happily ever after? After all, this is real life and not some story. And real life will break you until you are undone. But Dawn will not allow life to break her that easily. Or will she?

The average human being spends every second of his day fighting against the force of nature to see another day. But I'm different. I'm not afraid of outside forces to take my life away - only myself. Approximately 10 years ago, something happened to me. Something really bad. But I'm not allowed to talk about it. As a way to release my frustration, I give hell to my body and everyone I come in contact with - especially my parents. No one knows about what happened except the ones who did it...and Him. But he didn't stay. Now, he's back and he's not talking either. I want to stop hurting, I need to stop. Make me stop.

Everyone dreams to be heard, right? We all want to be heard-our unsaid thoughts and feelings. Being scared to judge is crucial in this cruel world. Too scared to share and open up, it will end up using a pen and paper. Through writing, we can directly tell what we feel and what we want. We are free to express our own feelings and emotions without having any thoughts of being judged. Been there, these poems say a lot of what I've felt throughout the years dealing with different emotions in different situations. These poems are my own, and I will be the one to talk about anything.

Sometimes I just need a way to express how I feel when I can't put it into words, I'm sure we all feel that way whether you're a teen or young adult. Mental health deserves to be heard, you deserve to be heard.
