PROLOGUE: I can still remember the day I first met Niall Horan, we were just kids and some guy was picking on me the first day of school, of course Niall being the gentleman he is decided to save me and beat the guy up, after that we were as close as friends can get. He was my best friend and the only one who knew what I was going through, I didn't mean for him to know, but it's Niall and you can't keep anything from him, that and the fact that he was the one I ran crying to everytime I got a new bruise, he'd sit for hours just holding me until I'd stop crying. Well that was before, before he decided to leave me for a better life, yeah I still remember the day like it was yesterday, the day he told me he auditioned for the x-factor, that night will forever be in my mind, for more than one reason. It wasn't long after Niall left that I ran away from home, I couldn't stay and risk getting hurt again, not after I found out about this.

“Are you alright love?” I heard a soft voice say. I looked in the direction where the sound was coming from. A middle-aged woman with a dog was looking at me; I could see the worry in her eyes. “Come with me dear, we have to get you to the hospital” she said. My eyes grew wide with horror. I couldn’t go there, he would kill me if I said anything to anybody about this. So I did the only thing my body felt natural. I fled. I didn’t know where I was going, my vision blurred by the tears. I could hear her scream after me, but I was not able to make any sense of what se was saying. My legs kept going, giving me the feeling I was flying. This is what I loved. I could just keep going forever. Then I saw the light and everything went black. *** Kate Statham seems to have been born under an unlucky star. Not a lot of things have gone her way. One night her fate seams to be sealed, but it changes when she meets five boys. Her life changes completely and she has to learn how to deal with the new life she is standing in front of. But has it all changed for the better or is she never going to get rid of that unlycky star?

"Why do you keep pretending you're afraid of me?" He hissed, obvious anger in his eyes. "Because Louis; if I'm not afraid of you I'll end up loving you!" I shouted. "And that means I'll get hurt...because that's just the way you are!" I said, hoping he would correct me. "You're right." He said simply after a long pause. "You're right." She was new; he was jaded. She was oblivious; he knew all too well. She was innocent; he was everything but. And anyone who looked at the two would know just how wrong they were together. Yet there was no denying the obvious fire that seemed to heat every time they were near each other. This isn't the typical "boy loves girl- they fall in love" etc. etc. This is about heart wrenching confessions, breath taking encounters, love shattering secrets,and two people who so desperately want to know just what love is.

You would be surprised how much only two words could affect you. He said them with great confidence and a hint of something that made the hair on the back of my neck stand straight. It made me want to call all my friends and family and have them enrolled in the Witness Protection Program. His hands went to my hips, fingers digging deep into my skin; keeping me in place. I kept telling him to stop, let me go, to leave me alone. But he would just smirk or laugh as his friends would have to repeat themselves to me once more, "He's always got what he wants." I don't care if he has. I mean who would? After many squirming sessions and my annoyed pleads, he finally let me go. I walked through the restaurant doors and sat at the booth my friends were at. Maybe I should ask my friends if they know him? But I only know his first name, Louis. Who is this Louis character? It doesn't matter, it's not like I'll ever see him again. #1 FOR PUNK LOUIS TOMLINSON !!

"Do you feel safe with him?" the question seemed silly; in my head I had immediately laughed at it because it was so absurd. How could I not feel safe with Niall? He had turned out to be the only constant in my crazy life so far; he was always there for me through out everything. He did everything that he possibly could to help me to get to the point that I was at then. "Come on, do it, curse, scream, yell at me, hit me, do whatever you have wanted to do all these years." He just stares at me, not doing anything. "Do something! I made a mistake, and I am paying for it, and as if watching you, letting go of yourself as I'm not able to do anything is not enough! I have to watch our friends suffer the consequences of my mistakes. Our friends are done with our bullshit, Harry. And quite frankly, so am I..." Silence. "Say something for God's sake!" I yell, and I look up just to see him with his head bowed down and his shoulders shaking as he sobs . This is all my fault. This is my mess. ... "I believe you, just like I should have from the start." He says gently, and I just cling on him more as I feel his warmth and hear his heartbeat. "Your heart is beating so fast..." I whisper as if it was a secret. "It's beating for you... Always for you, it never stopped beating for you."
