After Chris' famous "conscious uncoupling" from Gwyneth he is an emotional mess. But not for the reason everyone thinks. Chris will never tell anyone the true reason for his split from his wife though, he could never do that. The only thing that gives Chris a spark of hope is writing music. But his bandmates are getting more and more worried about him as it's been months since Chris' split and he doesn't seem to get any better. Eventually Chris' bad emotional state turns out to be a threat for the entire band. Chris knows the only way to end his pain is to reveal the truth, but that is a really hard thing to do. After all the truth could mean the breakdown of everything that is important to him.

After a devastating fight on Christmas Eve, Chris left London and took refuge in his New York flat. He thought that this Christmas was gonna be his loneliest, that he wouldn't have anybody with him to share his thoughts and feelings. He thought that he deserved to die. He was wrong. Through a series of almost impossible incidents, he rediscovers forgotten memories and their significance in shaping his life, with the help of a mysterious green eyed lady. Thousands of thoughts cloud his mind, and hundreds of feelings sweep over him. The pain becomes unbearable. But every cloud has a silver lining. Everyone has a reason to live. Personally, I never saw myself as an optimistic person. I never really had any friends, I didn't share feelings for people, I never really had any social life whatsoever. My life was always boring. I didn't feel like I could write the story they wanted me to but I asked them to send me one of the poems. The poem inspired me. ❤ So I suggested another concept of the story and they agreed. He suffers from PTSD and survivor's guilt. Thinking that not allowing himself to talk somehow honor the death of his family. It's a lonely life. He has no one to talk to. Doctors and therapists have given up on him. He writes poems as a way to express how he feels. He also writes at work. Running the gossip section of The Sun is something he despises but he's a journalist and he needs a job. No one tries to talk to him at work either. It's his own fault. But he hates how they go silent and then whisper about him as he enters the newsroom in the mornings. He keeps to himself. Until the new sports journalist catches his eye. Beautiful. Blue eyes. Wonderful smile. To his surprise, the man knows sign language and he's also determined to talk to him. Life as he knows it changes. It's scary. Will he be able to actually overcome his trauma?
