Jessica has a twenty one year old son named Mathew from a previous marriage with Sam Shepard. They still have a great relationship and are great friends now and Sam is still a part of Jessica's life. Jessica is a breast cancer survivor and is now in remission, but she discovers something that will make her have to choose between life and death.
