I look up at Todd's window and grimace when I see him gently pushing Jennifer into his room. So that's where he went. My stomach clenches painfully as I watch him pull her in for a slow kiss and I quickly drop to the floor when he suddenly breaks off the kiss and looks directly at me. The last thing I need is for him to think that I'm being a creeper and spying on him. I hold my breath for a few seconds before cautiously peering over the edge of the window, looking into his room. My mouth goes dry as I watch him peel off his shirt and throw it onto the floor behind him. I didn't realize he was so buff. I knew he was athletic, but I didn't expect him to have a six pack. Licking my dry lips, I watch in envy as Jennifer says something to him, making the muscles in his stomach contract and release as he laughed with her. I shake my head. She has no idea how lucky she is. I'd kill to be her right now. I mean, Todd's attitude leaves a lot to be desired, but that doesn't stop him from being the most gorgeous thing I've ever seen. It must be the contrast between his dark hair, tanned skin and bright blue eyes. And those muscles. Wow. I suppose his attitude could be fixed. Definitely. It's a little magic trick called duct tape. Jace Summers is not your average high school boy, per se. He prefers being himself no matter what anyone else thinks about him, and he's proud of who he is. He has pastel pink hair, stunning deep brown eyes, and a sweet and silky voice that makes all of the girls swoon. Too bad he's gay though, and everyone knows it. Jace has been out to the world since seventh grade and he never got too much trouble from it, which he is thankful for, but he knows he would be okay even if he was bullied harshly. It's just who he is. Alec Walker is a whole other story, however. He is very basic, brown hair, hazel eyes, all-black attire, and he is well-known throughout the school but he doesn't consider himself to be one of the popular kids. He loves skateboarding and singing, has good grades. There's nothing overly unique about him- except his voice could make angels swoon. Both boys are different but not so different that you'd think they would dislike each other. Well, you would be wrong. They hate each other with burning passions. Sorry- hate is a strong word. They loathe each other with deep burning passions. Jace thinks Alec is a jackass know-it-all because that's how he comes off to a lot of people until you get to know him, and Alec thinks Jace is annoying with how he presents himself. Those seem like small things that could be easily overcome, however it's also their encounters in the halls or in classes that cause problems. By now it's just mutual hate that both boys are too stubborn to give up. But when one day they get news that seems like the end of the world... it turns out to be the best thing that has happened to both of them. Not at first, but with time. Read to find out what happens! (Also- it is a mystery to even me how long this story will be. I'll be posting chapters as I finish and we'll see how long it turns out to be. It could be my shortest with like four chapters, or my longest with thirty or more. You never know. I hope you enjoy it though!)

[Formerly known as One Simple Question] Basically a rewrite of the first story... with big changes to the storyline. Jace Becker is a junior in highschool who is tormented daily by his bullies- Sam in particular- simply for being gay. He appears to be a normal teenager, but he has a dark secret that only one other person in the world knows. Living alone, he turns to his passion for art as a way to let his emotions out, but sometimes that proves to not be enough. Sam Larson is a sixteen-year-old closeted gay guy who, after receiving the news of his mother's death, winds up making Jace's life hell as a way of venting his grief. He lives with his twin brother, who is essentially his polar opposite. Sam secretly hates all of his "friends" except for one. Kizuato Larson is Sam's twin brother. Being kind of a recluse, he's a quiet person who is very distant and removed from his sibling. Ever since the twins' dad left when they were seven, Kizuato has been more reserved and less willing to trust people. He hates people who bully others for things that can't be changed- such as sexual orientation or race- especially after having experienced it himself for being asexual/aromantic. These are all my ocs, and if you even DARE to hate on one of them... I won't tolerate it.

This was my very first attempt at crafting an entire story from scratch all the way back in 2020, and I'd like to think my writing has since improved. I will soon be revisiting this story and making some enhancements - most notably, splitting up current chapters into smaller ones so they are much more easily digestible. In addition, I'll be making some edits to grammar and formatting, as well as giving some of the dialog a refresh in an effort to be less...cringe. Lol. There are also a few plot points I want to smooth out. Life has always been the same. Eat. Sleep. Work. Repeat. All this while, it has been a hustle. I thought that finally I can take a breather. Until.....(door bell ringing) I open the door and look at the guy standing there. He gave me a smile. He walked into my house like he owns it. But along with him, he brought fun, problems, danger, weapons, more work, tasty food and last but not the least love. My life had a new dimension with his entry. Solving problems was something I enjoyed, but this was a bit too hectic. And along the way I discover new things about this uninvited roommate of mine. This guy is freaking rich and doesn't even work but I always had my suspicion that he is a gangster. I just need to prove that as I solve all the mysteries that I am facing every day. At the end I finally find out who he is. He is thE NEXT HEIR AND THE CEO OF THE COMPANY I WORK AT ? HOW DID THIS HAPPEN ? You love someone not knowing who they are completely. But can you continue to love them after you find out the truth ? Find out if Joshua can still love Elijah after all that Elijah brought into Joshua's life. I don't know if the story is as interesting as it sounds, but it is good. Please do give it a read.

We were watching TV, my father and I, waiting for my mother to come down. We were going to go somewhere for my birthday but it was a surprise. I was so excited and so happy. I couldn't wait. We heard some noise. My mother was there but she didn't look so well. "Meredith, what's wrong? Are you Ok?" He asked. Then I saw a red patch on her chest and a huge knife across it. "Mum!" I yelled running towards her. "It's gonna be Ok, sunshine." He said. We were both crying. We had her in our arms. "I love you both." She said weakly. And she died. She actually died. My own mother died. We cried. Then we heard another noise. We looked up to see a tall strong guy. He was scary. "Get up!" He ordered. My father held me tight in his arms and obeyed. He pulled a gun at him and shot him. "Dad!" I yelled. "Dad." I cried. Why was this happening to me? "Get up!" The guy ordered me. I listened. He pointed a gun at me. I was so scared. Remember despite the hate these mental illnesses receive, I believe you. Mental illnesses are no joke, they're not something I try to use for views. I am not hating on the illnesses. I know it's hard, but they are relevant to the book so I had to include them. If you're feeling depressed, please talk to a counsellor.
