Kit Folly was just another teenage girl...

...and she still is. To be perfectly clear, she still deals with the ups and downs of her failing grades, less-than-supersonic social life, dumb teenage boys, and the nearing void of life after high school. She just happens to be juggling her superhero side-gig at the same time.

A mission like any other fails to go as planned, and Kit and her team find themselves confronted with a mysterious new villain with a new dangerous power that threatens all of superhero-kind. In the wake of an unexpected loss, they have to compensate with a new arrival to the crew--one whom Kit would have preferred to never see again.

To top it all off, there's family health problems, daddy issues, bullying, a lot of homework, and a burgeoning romance with an old enemy. Well--if you want to call it that.

Emerson Rogers liked to think of himself as an ordinary teenager. After all, he had no reason to believe otherwise. He went to an upstanding private school with the rest of his friends, was a straight-A student, had no disciplinary issues, and was well-liked according to his classmates and teachers. If anyone were to take a glance at him, they would assume that he was just another carefree rich kid with no problems in his life to worry about. Unless you consider the fact that his evening plans included putting on a blue super suit and speeding through the streets as a crime-fighting superhero. Okay, so maybe his life wasn't as ordinary and carefree as he liked to portray it. With Emerson starting his senior year of high school, things have started to become a bit more tricky than he would've preferred. Defending Jefferson City and maintaining a normal school life as a cover can be hard, but throw in his best friend getting closer to the truth about his alter-ego's identity and a mysterious villain working from the shadows who always seems to be two steps ahead, living a double life is going to be his biggest challenge yet. Especially when new villains start crawling out of the woodwork, thirsty for a fight, and his old villains return stronger, angrier, and looking to settle a score. As Emerson starts to uncover the truth behind where all these villains are coming from, he finds that not everything is what it seems on the surface. And that he and this mysterious villain have a stronger connection than he originally thought.

Azira's whole world consisted of being a hero. The daughter of the Dynamic Duo, she was destined to fulfill her role as the dutiful daughter in the Heroes Academy. A world where those with superhuman powers are taught to wield their powers for good and change the world. That is until a villain named Scar enters her life and changes her whole perspective on what it truly means to be the good guy. Scar loves her. And knows she loves him-she just doesn't know that yet herself. But she's about to find out. ~Excerpt~ "Why me?" I asked exasperatedly. "You do all of this for me, and why? For what reason?" "That's where you're still wrong, honey," he said darkly. "I'm not doing this for you. I'm doing this for me. I wanted you, so now you're mine-that's all there is to it. And by being mine, if someone hurts you, they're hurting me. And I am not one to take that disrespect lightly. Do you understand me?" "No." "You will." He knelt next to me, his face hovering over mine, his arms on either side of the machine, caging me beneath his upper body. "I will ruin you-I'll fit you to my mold; I'll take that goody-two-shoes girl you are, and turn her into a force to be reckoned with. One that's mine." I quivered. "All mine." "I..." His proximity had me beyond nervous. My throat constricted as I tried to regain my composure. "Will never be yours." He laughed, his hand caressing my cheek. "You and I both know you already are." *Enemies to lovers (mildly) dark romance* PUBLISHING ALSO ON ROYAL ROAD AS LEELEEACE1
