Two boys meet. One of them, a smartarse living in a world of idiots. The other, and incredibly annoying idiot - so annoying, in fact, that he manages to annoy his way into the other's life and refuses to leave. But what does it take for them to realise how much they actually care for each other? How much do they have to suffer? Dark secrets lead to dangerous situations, and possibly something stronger than friendship.

When Samuel finds himself lost and incapable of facing his problems and the whole lot of insecurities he's built up from childhood, he comes to realize that he can't fix all of it all by himself -- and that it's okay to ask for help. It's okay to be miserable, and it's okay to feel things he's never felt before, such as having a crush on a boy. With June, his best friend, and Charles, the guy who's been crushing on him since the start of the year, Samuel courses through life, slowly coming to find some worth in himself and opening up to the people around him. . . . When Alex stumbles across a man in town wearing a blindfold, holding a sign that says, 'You are not alone. If you need a talk or a hug. I am here.' He takes it upon himself to approach the stranger. Was this the sign he has been looking for? - River has been a mental health advocate for three years. With his own demons battled, he takes it upon himself to support others. More specifically strangers. He has always found peace in helping those who suffer in silence. When River is approached by a man who expresses his depressive tendencies, he decides to take the broken stranger for coffee, out of fear of what might happen if he lets him go. River tells him to offload, release all the sadness and frustration he has into someone who knows nothing about him. But when he leaves, River can't stop thinking about him. It's not until Alex comes back a few months later to thank him for listening when he needed help the most. Alex has a lot to thank for his signs from the universe.

It began with a kiss. It was a New Year's Eve kiss that he wouldn't forget any time soon. - Bram doesn't like a lot of things. He doesn't like the fact that his boss is always calling him topside to switch on his computer. He doesn't like the way his boss stares at him. Bram doesn't like letting his little self go. He doesn't like being little. Xander Lupo has a lot of things. He has the respect, he has enough money to rule, buy and make his own country. He might be the head of the Lupo mafia family, he might be involved in drugs, guns and a lot of other things. He might have a lot. But he doesn't have a little. It takes a gun to his head, being at the wrong place and some stuffies to change his mind.
