After a GroundBridge malfunction, the kids find themselves warped to another dimension, where everything is switched for them. They find that the Decepticons are on their side and that their Autobot guardians wouldn't think twice about harming them. 
  
  Meanwhile, the kids from the SG universe are warped into the dimension we all know of, where they find that the Autobots are on their side and that their Decepticon guardians wouldn't think twice about harming them.  
  
  Soon, trouble brews when the Decepticons and Shattered Glass Autobots find out about these alternate realities. With Megatron and SG Optimus working together, what kind of havoc will surface? What sacrifices will be made? What trust will be broken? And, maybe the most important question, who will emerge victoriously?

The fate of the Earth depends on the answer.

A terrified girl finds herself mixed up with three other children in a war that had somehow reached to them. Unlike the other children, she did not have a home to go back to. Scars like hers run too deep and she does not know what worth she could even give to the transformers who have now become her guardians to protect her from decepticons. Her near constant presence in their base seems to be a bother to the transformers, she can tell even if they do not say it out loud to her. The girl is not a fool. However, when they realize just how deep her pain truly was and how far she is willing to end it, Optimus is unwilling to give up on her. She does not understand his reasons, they slowly become clear. And when she finally runs in with Optimus's arch enemy, she finds herself eyeing off a certain decepticon leader in a way that she should not have. And she did not know why. Megatron himself feels he simply had taken something so precious from Prime, and enjoys watching the autobot panic in trying to find her. But, the girl began to confuse his spark. So much so he questions so much about himself.

After trying to help her overcome some sort of brainwashing, Optimus realizes that the truth is more complicated than it seems. As the two of them work together, they both face their weaknesses and the many trials thrown at them by an interdimensional threat and some domestic ones. Optimus has a harsh life as the bearer of the matrix and Temptest struggles to be the symbol of freedom she once was. Alongside them, one Megatron works to protect his adopted family while the other tags along, fighting and testing them in hopes he'll find what he lost in his own dimension. The bots imagine that a terrible villain is on the prowl, but struggle to figure out who. Alias is an unusual girl. She doesn't remember who she was when she was younger, her first memory was as a 6 year old, stumbling through the woods into an old abandoned barn, wounded and weak. This is where she meets the equally confused Cybertronian, who she named Nickname. As they grow up and learn about the world around them, they realize that the world is a horrible place. And while Nickname has the Decepticons chasing him, Alias has a group of human sized metal warriors that seem endless and relentless chasing her. (Later revealed by Ratchet as power hunters from early Cybertron.) Oh, and did she mention her metal wings? No, oh well...
