I have sat often in front of the computer, and stared long at the screen without ever writing a word. The synopsis for this project has haunted me since the first person asked me "So, what is it about?", and to this day I have never been able to deliver a straight answer. This book is about a number of things, many of which do not fit evenly into a succinct description. I have tried to make them fit and have found the resulting descriptions ill-representing and dull. Thus, I have decided to go without a description. This book will fade into obscurity no matter what I put here, so I might as well write what's really important. Winter in a city is an especially punishing time. This book comes out of my late nights and early mornings riding the train, and my looking at the window and being able to make out nothing but the blur of the glass. From the outside it may look dead, but certain people know that the inner workings of a city are a true marvel to behold. In writing this, I have tried to capture that marvel and deliver it to you, the reader. This is a book about a city and the people within it. The rest is up for you to read, if you so choose. This story follows the young prodigy Grant Alan, a scholar turned telekinetic, surviving in a strange new world after the colossal science vessel, the Halfpace, passes into a future very foreign to him, populated by anthropomorphic creatures that have dominated humanity after a planet-wide war. To ultimately find out what happened to the last vestiges of humanity, Grant must use his wits, friendships and newfound power to navigate this new and dangerous world while an ancient, malevolent force slowly corrupts its new anthro leaders. I wrote this because I was partly inspired by "A Man In A Beast's World" by @GhillieCamo. Admittedly, my head was kind of in two places when writing this. Part of me wanted to create this really thoughtful, slow-burning, thriller sci-fi story experience with lots of lore and things to mull over, and the other half wanted to make a human x anthro romance story, dripping with provocative scenes, dialogue and drama. I'd say the story has both, but more of the former, which I think is ultimately better than if it was the other way around. I don't claim to be the best, or even good, at storytelling, and there are definitely a couple issues I have in my story, but people have been telling me they really like this story. UGS sent a scouting party of 3 ship worlds and 1 trillion ships to set foot a new frontier, a new galaxy. after weeks and months of arriving and searching for any civilization across a quarter of the galaxy until they found it several light years away from the portal. it was a single solar system, having 1 planet in the habitable zone. what they found is astonishing, there's life in this planet, the UGS heard the natives call this planet alpharan, but with a twist. these lifeform having a technology of the 14th and 15th century, some are pre cold war era as well the UGS are fascinated about this single planet and anxious at the same time. what will they respond upon first contact? #.1 in UFO (10th/Nov/2023)

She descends into an H II cloud, breath bated, unaware of what awaits her on the other side. What she finds sends a shockwave that shudders her very pillars of existence. *Fun Fact* This story began as a short story I wrote a while back. But then I thought, what the hell, couldn't hurt to try and make it a ten-volume novella. That's why the first part is quite long spanning about 5,000 words. Heads up, I did not design this cover I got it from YouTube on a Sonne meme video by Clay_ This is the first story I've ever written that I've actually intended for other people to read, so expect mistakes. I'm also looking for advice in how to improve this story like a beta reader if you will. It will be different from the show's cannon because it is an AU. There will be no ships because I think it's just weird to ship celestial bodies (no hate just my opinion.) All celestial bodies will also be genderless (but feel free to imagine them as whatever gender you want) because they're cosmic beings, why would they have gender? (Again no hate) This story will focus on the Sun's backstory (with bits concentrating on other characters namely other stars that helped shape Sun's character) because there is a disappointing lack of sun-centric fan fiction. There will be both happy and angsty chapters (and a lot of headcannons) so prepare for a wild ride!

The story I admit is strongly inspired by both Star Wars and Firefly but it is not taken in either of those universes although it could easily fit in both of them.
