Gone. In a single moment, in the blink of an eye, everything you have ever known or cared for is eradicated. Hopes and dreams, traditions and stories that date back centuries have been erased without thought or care. Nothing matters and no one will ever live again to pass on the memories and stories of what was lost. Except you. You are the anomaly, the glitch that survived when all else could not. When your universe was destroyed, you found yourself stranded, alone, afraid in a white world without end. But there's little time to rest when you discover that your universe was merely a grain of sand on a much bigger ocean. Whole other worlds thrive in different plains of existence, and they're all going to war. In a desperate power-struggle for the upper hand, you find yourself an unlikely ally. The future seems certain, chaos will win and the universe will be plunged forever into violence and bloodshed. And it will take a lot more than a miracle to win.

There's something wrong with the timeline. You've lived in an underground crypt with cracked green walls for as long as you can remember. And that's entirely the problem, you can only remember so much. Even as tortures and experiments continue without end, you're plagued with nightmares and glimpses into a different life, a life outside the green walls that you've been trapped inside for your entire life. There's a demon in the lab. Somewhere, you're sure of it, the scientist whom you have learned to hate is keeping a secret, another human besides yourself locked away. You don't know why or how they're connected to you, only that their name is Kris and they might be the answer to everything. There's something wrong with the timeline. And the whole universe might be thrown into chaos and bloodshed before you can fix it.

Routine. The entirety of every living thing is dominated by it, human or monster. Everything HAS to be the same. It was in this that you were the exception. For you everything was new, every time line a detailed altered in order to satisfy your sadistic desire for a new ending, whether it be only a few details of dialogue altered or something else entirely. Monsters you once considered family you now butcher and slaughter without a second thought, after all, that's what the Reset is there for, right? And all at once it stops. Your small hold over the Underground is ripped away from you and you are thrown into a dying timeline, monsterkind's final attempt at self-preservation. You're alone, completely and utterly alone. Except one. And he has a bone to pick with you.

Reader insert. What if W.D Gaster didn't just get split between time and space, but actually ended up in your world in an abandoned hospital you called home? Your were a young child he decided to use as experiments to test human determination in said world and breaks physical laws to test human possibility? He knows of the powers you gained from his experiments... all but one, this one allows you to tear realities just enough to teleport into them. Knowing of Undertale you felt bad for the monsters stuck below in their world and wish to help them, but something goes wrong and you end up going to certain AUs and helping them, gaining the attention of some bad skeletons who now desire your power for them-selfish-selfs.

Ink, the known guardian and protector of the multiverse, has been eradicated from memory and presumed dead. And it's what you believe, a small, unimportant person tucked away in an unimportant universe with an unimportant name. There is no hope, only chaos and suffering flourish in this new age. But when a mysterious message plagues your dreams, a small beacon of hope emerges. You embark on a journey and leave everything you've ever known or loved behind, not that there was much, anyway. Sought at every twist and turn, your once-quiet life evolves into one much more dangerous, and it soon becomes obvious that there are greater forces at work. But the message in your dreams never ceases and there's one thing that you're certain. Ink is alive, and they will stop at nothing to make sure the hope dies with you.

Bringing people back into existence doesn't generally have negative repercussions. Not for an entire world at least. So why don't we use the same idea for an all powerful entity and see what happens?
