Thrown into a world of war and fighting, not between shinigami and hollows but between ninjas, not to protect innocent people from the dangers that lurk in the darkness but to kill each other and ensure one's survival, Saya finds herself living a reality completely different to that she had always lived. She has no choice but to blend in with ninjas, learn their battle strategies and go with the natural flow of the shinobi world. Despite being a powerful shinigami with many secrets to hide from everyone around her, Saya comes to like being in this strange new place.

During her journey, she comes across a very unique person. One who has known pain and suffering, much different from her own, but hides it behind a mask of coldness and cruelty just as she hides hers behind her smiles. A man, who in the shinobi world, is known to be one of the most heartless and terrifying of ninjas - Uchiha Itachi.

Noticing him beyond the mask he wears to cover the turbulent emotions inside and not afraid of whom he portrays himself to be, Saya slowly begins to break the walls built around his heart. Offering a shoulder to lean on, a gentle touch and an open heart was all that was needed to bring her close to him - closer than anyone had ever got to his true self.

Accepting challenges and the complicated past of the shinobi world, Saya does all she can to give the innocent Uchiha another chance at happiness and another chance to be loved.
