If only (trans reader x Peter parker)

Peter's death really took a massive toll on me mentally, so when Tony ripped the arc reactor out I stepped in though I was panicking. I couldnt afford to lose him too. After at least two hours Rhodey walked out to be with up in the lab. "Bruce gave him a sedative. He's gonna probably be out for the rest of the day." He said. "You guys take care of him. And I'll bring him a Xorrian Elixir when I come back." Carol said, getting up and walking away. "Where are you going?" Nat asked her. "To kill Thanos." She replied. Steve and Nat followed her to talk. "Hey, you know, we usually work as a team here, and between you and I, morale's a little fragile." She said. "We realize up there is more your territory, but this is our fight too." Steve joined. "You even know where he is?" Rhodey asked, crossing his arms. "I know people who might." Carol replied, almost walking into nebula.

"Don't bother. I can tell you where Thanos is. Thanos spent a long time trying to perfect me. And when he worked, he talked about his great plan. Even disassembled, I wanted to please him. I'd ask "where would we go once his plan was complete?". His answer was always the same: "To the Garden."" Nebula said, standing up straight. "That's cute, Thanos has a retirement plan." Rhodey smirked to himself. "So where is he?" Steve asked, digging his fingers into his pockets. "When Thanos snapped his fingers, Earth became ground zero for a power surge of ridiculously cosmic proportions. No one's ever seen anything like it... Until two days ago. On this planet." Rocket said before a hologram of a planet popped up from the table. "Thanos is there." Nebula said, pointing. "He used the stones again." Nat joined in. "Hey, hey, hey. We'd be going in short-handed, you know." Bruce interrupted. "Look, he's still got the stones, so..." Rhodey trailed off.

"So let's get him... Use them to bring everyone back." Carol said, looking up at everyone from the table. "Just like that?" Rhodey asked. "Yeah, just like that." Steve replied. "Even if there's a small chance that we can undo this... I mean we owe it to everyone who's not in this room to try." I said, holding back tears. "If we do this, how do we know it's gonna end any differently than it did before?" Bruce asked. "Because before, you didn't have me." Carol replied. "We also don't have Star asshole to fuck it up." I mumbled. "Hey, new girl, everyone here is about that superhero life. And if you don't mind my asking, where the hell have you been all this time?" Rhodey asked carol, slightly insulted. "There are a lot of other planets in the universe. And unfortunately, they didn't have you guys." She said. Thor, who has been eating a snack behind us all this time, stood up and walked over to Carol. She looked behind at him. He held his hand up, and caught Stormbreaker as it flewover to him, missing Carol by inches. But Carol didn't even flinch, instead smiling at the God of Thunder. "I like this one." He smiled. "Let's go get this son of a bitch." Cap smiled. "Language." I chuckled.

A few hours later, we all boarded the benatar, rocket's ship. "Okay, who here hasn't been to space?" He asked as Nat, Cap, and Rhodey raised their hands. "Why?" Rhodey asked, fearing the answer. "You better not throw up on my ship." Rocket replied, flipping some switches. "Approaching jump in 3... 2... 1!" Nebula said, reminding me of the time of the daleks in doctor who. The ship jumped forward into a wormhole, and out of the corner of my eye I could see Steve holding onto his seat for dear life. The ship slows down and hovers in orbit of the planet we had seen in the hologram before. Carol comes down and hovers in front of the Benatar. "I'll head down for recon." She said, flying down. We all got up and started to gear up. "This is gonna work, Steve." Nat smiled slightly, reassuringly. "I know it will." He nodded, holding a compass. "Cause I don't know what I'm going to do if it doesn't." He finished, putting the compass away. Carol approached the Benatar slowly.

"No satellites, no ships, no armies, no ground defenses of any kind. It's just him." She called. "And that's enough." Nat nodded. We landed and made our way down onto a scenic lush ground of tropical fauna. It surrounded a shed on a farm. A scarecrow made of Thanos' armour is standing in the field. We see thanos off in the distance. He's walking among his crops, harvesting fruit, and putting them in a sack. He walked over to the shed, with a dragging quality to his legs, like it pains him to walk, presumably his living quarters, and tries to sit down, and we see his full face. His whole left side is burnt black with blisters; He looks ridiculously pathetic compared to when we saw him last. Suddenly, Carol flew through the roof, knocking Thanos down, and grabbing his neck. Bruce in the Hulkbuster armor burst in from the ground, and grabs Thanos' Infinity Gauntlet arm. Thor flew in and sliced off the Infinity Gauntlet with stormbreaker. Rhodey flew down with Rocket and aimed guns on Thanos' head. Cap walked in his Winter Soldier Outfit, with Natasha and I right behind him, staring murderously at Thanos. Rocket goes over to the sliced off Infinity Gauntlet, and kicks it over, as everyone in the room realizes that there are no stones in it.
