Natasha's POV
Danny, Abby, and I are standing on the boardwalk outside our suspects, Juru Katsu's house on the water. We are watching as Steve shows me and Abby one of his many ways of getting information from someone.
At this very moment, Steve is driving a jet ski up and down on the water dragging Juru along behind him.
"So, is this how you interpret 'Immunity and Means'?" Abby asks curiously as we watch. Danny glances at her then back at Steve out on the water.
"Wish we could do this back home." I joke.
"Don't," Danny warns me before turning back to Abby, "no, no, no that's Steve not me."
"Huh."
"I don't do this kind of stuff. I don't approve of it."
"I do." I mumble under my breath. Danny not hearing it. Thank God.
"He's very impatient when it comes to getting information from people. You know, two weeks after I met him, he hung a guy off of a building by his ankles. Yeah?" Danny demonstrates.
I tune out the rest of the conversation as I'm too engrossed in watching Steve do his thing. And he looks darn good doing it too. Whoa easy Tasha, you're at work.
After a few more runs along the water, the guys concedes, and he and Steve come ashore. Now Juru is sitting in a chair in front of us handcuffed.
"Gabriel had nothing to do with the armoured car heist. And neither did Ben." Steve and Danny filled me in on the way over about Gabriel's name popping up when Lou got the fingerprint report back from the lab on our guy in front of us.
"Okay, so how do you know Ben?" Danny asks standing next to me with his hands behind his back in a relaxed way.
"We spent some time together in Halawa. Gabriel found out about it and sent some guys to find me," he says a little out of breath, "he wanted me to find Ben offer him $50k for his security access pass to the fight tonight."
"Why? What's he planning?" Steve asks his arms crossed.
Juru chuckles, "when Gabriel Waincroft asks you to do something, you don't ask questions."
"Okay, well, $50,000 for a VIP pass—it seems like a pretty good deal. How does this guy end up dead?" Danny asks looking a little confused.
"He wasn't down with it. He was even a little insulted that I asked," Juru explains, "said he wouldn't let anyone do anything that would jeopardize his brothers shot at a title."
"All right, so what? So, you beat him to death?" I asked surprised.
"That... that wasn't the plan," he says looking at me, "Gabriel gave me two choices. Pay him for the pass or kill him for it. Coming back without it wasn't an option."
"How do we find Gabriel?" Danny asks after we stand in silence for a few moments.
"If I knew where he was, I'd tell you. Because the minute he finds out I'm talking to you, I'm a dead man."
Two HPD officer take Juru away and the others join us, Steve fills them in, "all, right, Ben was killed so Gabriel could get special access to the fight and bypass security without going through the magnetometers."
"Well, whatever he's got planned, it's gonna be big," Lou points out, "this event is attracting major attention from all over the world."
"Yeah. Speaking of which, fight's about to start." Chin points out.
