It had been a while since we entered the party. We were busy talking to the guests when I realised that it was just me and Namjoon. As far as I could see, Jungkook and Eunji were to be seen nowhere. I nudged Namjoon's arms gesturing him that we had to talk. We excused ourselves from the guests and walked to a corner of the hall to talk.

"What's up Y/n?", Namjoon asked.

"Have you seen Jungkook?", I asked him.

"Actually he said that he had call from someone so he'd be around the backyard.", Namjoon explained.

"Ohh, and where is Eunji?", I asked out of curiosity.

"I don't know about her. Is everything okay Y/n?"

"Yes Joon.", I replied with a smile. He walked away when some guests came and wanted to talk to him. I stood there for a while thinking about what Namjoon said. I already had a doubt about Jungkook's and Eunji's relation and both of them not being around us was adding up more doubts to my thoughts.

I then thought of going to the backyard as Namjoon said that Jungkook went to the backyard to take a call. Upon reaching the backyard, I saw nothing but darkness. I thought Jungkook might have went back to the building, as soon as I turned around to leave I heard muffled noises coming from the other corner of the backyard which was dimly lit. I didn't pay much attention to it, and shrugged it off. When I started walking away from the spot, I heard Jungkook's voice.

"Baby please. Just once.", he said.

"Not now Kookie. Namjoon and Y/n must be searching for us.", a female voice spoke, which I very well knew who it belonged to. It was Eunji's voice.

Jungkook called her Baby. With those words getting inside my ears, I felt my world falling apart. I felt as if the ground beneath me was no more present. I slowly walked towards the corner where the sounds came from. The view that I saw, shattered my heart into millions of pieces. The man that I loved, the one that asked me to marry him was kissing some other woman. From the very first day when Jungkook and Eunji met, I sensed something fishy, but I never expected it to be this.

"Jungkook!", I spoke, almost inaudible. They both looked at me with wide eyes. I was trying hard to not cry but failed miserably.

"What- what are you doing here Y/n?", Jungkook asked surprised.

"I might ask you the same Koo- Jungkook!", I almost called him by the nickname that I gave.

"I'll give you both time to talk alone. I think you-", Eunji was speaking but I cut her mid-sentence.

"You are not going anywhere Eunji. Even you are involved in this, so you should be here.", my voice was breaking, I was hurt. There was silence for good three to four minutes until Jungkook broke it.

"Y/n, I never loved you as much as I loved Eunji.", he said with his eyes fixed on the ground. I knew he won't be able to look at my eyes after what he did. I knew he regretted saying that. He continued, "I never talked to you about my past. It was painful Y/n. I don't belong to a family that owns a decent business. My dad is a mafia boss. I never liked that life. It was filled with blood, murders, tortures and what not. I never wanted to live a life like that.", he said. His voice showed pain. I could sense he has gone through a lot.

"Your life was painful, I understand. But why did you have to break me like this Jungkook? Why are you making me go through this pain?", I couldn't control anymore. Tears rolled down my cheeks uncontrollably. This was the first time I loved someone and they had to break me like this. Was this needed? Really?
