[Sorry to hurt you Mia stans like this, I love you all! I promise I'll make it up to you!]
For the last few days, I've felt a strange emptiness, my eyes tracing over the ceiling. Mia has tried to help me countless times, mailing me care packages and even trying to come to visit; but it's not the same without Ranboo.
I had built this giant wall between myself him and I after he asked me to be with him, and it seemed to distance us even more. He tried to contact me, but my responses seemed awkward. I wanted to fix this, but even I couldn't even understand why I was acting this way. I laid in silence with my phone on my stomach, my headphones in my ears, and a saddened sigh coming from my lips, moving my hands to my face and dragging my hands down my face. I was 16 now, old enough to drive and old enough to travel alone. This had given me an idea, but I'd have to find the right people to talk to.
I had gotten up slowly, stretching and walking into my living room. I walked over to my mom who was sat on the couch, a smile on her face as she waved at me. I waved back and then sat next to her, the silence coming over the area around us. It felt semi-awkward, and I wasn't sure how to word what I was going to ask. My mom, however, looked at me and raised a brow with a smile.
"(Y/N), you always act like this when you want something. What is it, dear?" she spoke up, setting her book down and looking at me with a small smile.

❤︎I felt my heartbeat quicken, I had planned this out for a while now. My mom agreed, Mia's grandparents agreed, and Ranboo's parents agreed. Now all I needed to do was finally finish putting my plan into action. Mia called me as I got off my flight, a small smile on my face.
"Hey! Where are you?" she asked softly, giggling sweetly. I looked around and then saw the sign of the airport section I was in. I gave her the number and she hummed in response, obviously tired. It was ungodly early right now, but she still came to pick me up. I was awake merely from my pure adrenaline.
Then, I saw her.
A girl who was shorter than me by a few inches, her black hair resting in a ponytail, freckles all over her face, and a sleepy expression on her face. She then saw me, her tired look immediately disappearing. She was wearing a volleyball jersey from her favorite anime and a pair of grey sweats. She was beautiful, with no makeup on her skin, a natural pink on her cheeks and the tip of her nose. She smiled like an idiot at the sight of me, sprinting over and about to hug me before she stopped herself.
"Are you okay with me hugging you? I don't want to make you uncomfortable!" she quickly said and I nodded quickly, her arms wrapping around me and burying her face in my shoulder. She was warm, her tense muscles relaxing as I wrapped my arms around her. She seemed to have bruises and burns on her arms, a frown coming to my lips. I quickly wiped it away, who cares if she had them? Mia was perfect the way she was.
She smiled up at me as we separated, the girl gently taking my hand and leading me off. "My grandma is making you breakfast! It should be done when we arrive!" she chirped happily, a small nod coming from me. "So, you're going to meet Ranboo?" she asked softly, her smile remaining.
My cheeks turned pink at the mention of his name, my heartbeat quickening. We got into her car after I put my bags in the trunk, Mia looking over at me with her face a bit pink. "Yeah! We're old childhood friends!" I chirped, making Mia giggle. "I really wanted to see him... He means everything to me." I sighed softly, looking down and biting my lip. Mia's smile softened, turning on some music and starting to drive.
What I didn't see was the pain that hid beneath that sweet smile.

They seemed happy when they kept talking about Ranboo, my heart clenching. I felt strongly for
(Y/N), they made me feel warm and gushy. But, I knew I couldn't interfere with what they had with Ranboo. They mentioned how much he meant to them, my smile struggling not to fault. My heart clenched and my stomach turned, feeling my vision attempting to fog with tears. I merely giggled it off, telling them how happy I was for them.
I gently clenched the wheel, keeping my eyes on the road. I wanted to just get home and go back to bed.
I had to drive them to Ranboo's house in a few hours anyway, I wouldn't get to spend time with them anyways. At a red light, I looked over at them. They were humming along to (y/f/c), a smile not leaving their face. I smiled as well, admiring their features. I wanted to reach for their hand, gently hold it while I drove, sing with them. But my heart told me not to, so I simply hummed as well.
They noticed me staring, looking over and their eyes widening. "What's up?" they asked, making my eyes widen and a nervous laugh coming from me.
"Nothing really! You just look..." I paused and smiled, looking at the road. I tightened my hands around the wheel, biting my lip shyly. "I think you look really cute," I said in a soft tone, physically recoiling at how awkward that was.
"No, wait. I don't think, it's just true."
