Nesta
Here we are at the station. We hurry to platform 9 ¾. I am overwhelmed with emotions. Today I will finally go to Hogwarts! In anticipation of new acquaintances, interesting subjects and, of course, magic, I almost skip, trying to catch up with Remus. His steps seem huge compared to mine, so I have to move my legs faster. Finally, he slows down and stops in front of one of the station columns.
"Ready?" - he asks enthusiastically.
"More than ever!" - I answer cheerfully.
We are accelerating and in front of the wall I firmly close my eyes, although I know that I will pass through it.
"Nes, you can already open your eyes."- the father remarks with a sneer.
I do this with bated breath and, seeing what is happening around, I immediately exhale in surprise.
The most beautiful train I have ever seen is in front of me. Black body with red accents, a huge chimney releasing clouds of white smoke. These are not those modernized creepy electric trains that Muggles always rush to but a fabulous old mashine, a bit like some outlandish corpulent beast. Wizards of all ages rush along the train. Someone sees off their children in the new (well, or the first, like mine) school year, someone came without relatives and is now trying to push through the crowd of worried mothers, someone greets friends, whom they have not seen for the whole summer.
"Let's go, pup. Otherwise, you won't have time to take a seat." - my father says somehow sadly, pushing me towards the train.
I went to the cart and pulled the cat out of the cage. By the way, we named him Buttercup. Once in my arms, he yawned lazily and purred, making himself comfortable. My father checked in the luggage and we went to the doors of the carriage.
Noticing how abruptly my good mood disappeared Lupin took me by the shoulders, turned to him and sat down so that his eyes were at the level of mine.
"Hey, little one, what's the matter? Aren't you happy?" - he asked worriedly.
"Of course I'm happy, it's just..." - I stammered, swallowing tears. - "What if I can't do it? If I let you down? What if they all find out who I really am? And who will remind you about the medicine? How are you gonna do without me? It's full moon tomorrow..."
Questions poured out from my mouth, outrunning my tears. Father sighed, his eyes gleaming treacherously, betraying his sadness. He gently took my tear-stained face in his big hands and gently wiped away my tears.
"Nesta, listen... You don't have to worry. You are a smart, strong and incredibly brave girl and I am sure you will become a brilliant witch. Remind me which wand chose you?" - he asked, narrowing his eyes slyly.
"Poplar, phoenix feather, 12 inches, amethyst tip" - I replied, sniffling and hugging Buttercup closer to my chest.
"See? Such a rare wand could not have chosen an ordinary girl."- Lupin grinned encouragingly. - "And I want you to remember: no matter what house you get into, no matter whether everyone finds out about your origins, no matter who you will be friends with - I will always love you."
I smiled, lowered the cat to the ground and threw my arms around Remus's neck, pressing against him as if I was seeing him for the last time.
"And I love you." -whispered in his ear.
He got up and looked around.
"Look, there's Ron, run quickly, maybe you will have time to take a seat before him." - my father winked conspirationally and I listened to the advice, picked up the pet in my arms and moved as fast as I could, flying into the train car.
