He paced through the halls as he waited for a call. The sound of his shoes filled them up. His mind raced. Why wasn't he getting a call? He bit a hangnail off of his thumb in worry. He feverishly picked up the note. 2:00, it read. It was 2:30, where was that call?

The phone rang loudly. His heart skipped as he walked into the office. He opened the doors and closed them behind him. He picked the phone up.

A woman spoke. "Forgive me, Cyrus."

"D-D-Don't, it's a-a-alright." He had completely forgotten about his stutter.

"Ah yes, the council informed me of your stutter. Anyhow, we have business to get to. Are you alone?"

Cyrus nodded, but then reminded himself he was on the phone. He spoke, "Y-Y-Yes."

"Good.  My friend here, Leo, has just told me that Earth is considering make us a 'Dwarf Planet.'"

Cyrus's eyes widened. "Really? W-W-W-"

"Why is that, you may ask?" She said, cutting him off mid-sentence. "I suppose we are too small. Cyrus, you know that if this happens, we will not know about humanity?"

"Y-Yes."

"Well, of course, you would know all about it. You are the spy everyone has been talking about, correct?"

His face dropped. His heart sank. He knew it was all going too well.

"You know what happens to spies, Cyrus."

"P-P-Please, I just had a daughter."

"Yes, I know all about Estella. She will be in great hands."

He wiped a tear from his green eyes. His hands began to sweat as he lost grip of the phone.

"Leo is a spy too, d-d-did he tell you that?"

"Oh yes, I know all about Leo, too. He's the one who actually told me about you."

That son of a bitch he thought to himself.

"He's right here with me, Cyrus. Say your goodbyes."

He heard the phone move around. He then heard Leo's voice.

"Cyrus. Cyrus, can you hear me?"

"Y--Y-Yes. Are you alright?"

Leo let out a cry of agony. Cyrus flinched.

"I had to do it, Cy. I had no choice. Get your filthy hands off me- Ouch!"

It sounded bad. Cyrus's forehead sweat as well.

"Cy, make sure they take good care of my boy. Taurus deserves a life."

"H-H-He will get one, Leo. T-Trust me."

"That's enough." The lady said. Leo's cries were then heard in the back.

"L-Let him go!" Cyrus shrieked. The lady hung up.

He set down the phone again, his mind still racing. That was last time he would ever talk to Leo ever again. Cyrus sat down to process this.

His office was large. The tiles were ivory with gold lining. His hairs were made of pure fur. The ceiling was quite tall, and a crystal chandelier hung from it.

He looked around his room. It was always a joyous place, but now, it seemed a grim wave had washed over it. What would happen to his daughter? What would happen to Taurus?

There was knock on his door. He stood up reluctantly and walked over to the door. His sweaty hand opened the door.

A tall figure stood in front of him. He took a large breath, knowing his fate.
