"Do you think that kind of cruelty will tame him?"
Shim Jaehwan sipped on his glass of rum while looking at his wife. She was silently reading a book and not paying any attention to him.

"You know everything won't work right? The only thing that will contain him was her."

His wife glanced at him

"That's why you let him loose?"

"That's why I let him do what he wants to do. As if making him my doll will still be effective. Look at what happened before this. Aren't you glad about his progress?"

She looked away, taking her teacup and sipping on it.

It was true.

"I am just afraid that the same thing will happen. I am testing them."

"Testing for what?"

Shim Jessia glanced at her husband with proud eyes.

"If he's worthy for her. You'll see later."

"You need to do something about that, Jake."
Jessica who was looking on the glass window told him. She was watching Haerin find the flower.

Jake brushed his hair upwards because of frustration, trying to think of what should he do, He shut his eyes closed.

Jessica glanced at his direction.

"Do you want to watch her?"
She told the younger. Jake shook his head.

"I can't. I don't want to."
His voice cracked with a bitter smile slowly forming on his lips.

he doesn't want to see her like that.

it will hurt him alot.

'Why do you need to come here, Cha Haerin?'
He sighed at himself. he covered his eyes with the back of his hand

'I already pushed you away. Why did you still came here? You should already went back to South Korea. Why are you risking your life for me?'
He can't understand what she's thinking. The amount of frustration and guilt he has now is unbearable. The back of his hands started to get soaked.

He is crying. Jessica noticed it and looked away.

"Where's mom?"
He stood up from the chair and looked at Jessica. She glanced at his direction before turning to Haerin once again.

"In the library. What are you planning to do, Jake? You know you can't-"

"I'll do everything.. "

"You know you can't do that! She'll kill you!"

"I don't care!"
Jessica walked towards him and grabbed his arms violently.

"And what if she kills that girl too? Do you want her to die with you??!!"
Jake glared at her

"I don't have any choice left."

"But Jake!-"

"Let me go! I don't want to hurt her anymore! I don't want to see her like that I-I don't want to see her struggle because of me! Maybe because you don't know what love is!" He sternly glared at her and violently swung his arms to let her go " You don't know how much it kills me to see her like that! So please, Do not interfere anymore."
That's the last thing he said before leaving the room.
