TW: CUTS AND MENTION OF SELF HARM
"Did you really have to do this here?"
"If you don't like it then—"
"Go back home, blah blah blah," Emelia interrupted. "Would you really prefer me all alone with Freddie?"
He grimaced.
"You make a fair point."
"I just don't understand why you're still doing this."
Tom grabbed her hand, sternly, and went over to a deserted corner with her.
"Keep your voice down. Do you think I still want to do this? Are you really that dim witted?"
"Then tell me why you're still doing it?"
"I have a plan..."
"What is it?" she asked impatiently.
"You'll see in time."
Emelia was confused as Tom walked away. The moment she'd woken up from that morning, Tom was gone. She freaked out and went to the upstairs dining hall to see a whole lot of Slytherins, including ones she went to school with. Emelia left, of course, but it had been on her mind for hours.
"You worry me, Tom." she said to herself.
"Emelia," boomed a voice from behind her.
She turned around.
"Professor Snape?"
"I see you've caught the Dark Lord's eye..."
"I don't understand, why are you here?"
He laughed, but it didn't sound friendly.
"You should ask your beloved boyfriend."
She looked at Tom who was pouring himself a glass of Firewhiskey. He did look a bit stressed. Snape walked out of the room to join the others. Tom, Emelia, and Draco were the only ones left, though it seemed as if Tom and Draco were emerged in a conversation with each other. Draco caught her eye. Tom muttered something to him and he nodded.
Emelia acted as if she wasn't watching and looked around the room. Suddenly, someone tapped her shoulder.
"Can we speak?" Draco asked.
"I suppose so..."
"In another room."
"There's nothing wrong with this one, Draco."
"I insist, Emelia."
She looked at Tom who seemed unhappy, but gave her the signal.
"Lead the way," she said.
They walked into the nearest room and he closed the door.
"So what did you want to discuss?"
Draco cleared his throat.
"I would like to apologize."
"For what?"
"I left you alone and never visited you when you were going through a tough time. I truly wish I could've been there, but my prejudices were more of a priority. I also had other things on my mind, but that's no excuse."
The tension was very present among the two.
"It's alright," Emelia replied dryly.
"No, no. It isn't, Emelia. You were one of the only people I could stand at the bloody school and I ruined it."
