It was a cliché really. The whole love at first sight shit that always finds it's way into a rom-com.
The classic boy falls in love with girl and they fuck and get married, but this was slightly different.
Belch Huggins was the new kid to Derry High School. He didn't really care for the people around, all looking the same.
All at least 6 inches shorter than himself if not even. His eyes roamed all the dead faces in the hallway until it came upon a lively one.
Down the hall stood a group of kids, juniors Belch assumed, that were the happiest that the latter had seen since his arrival.
There were about 7 or 8 kids in the circle as they talked. His eyes focused on the blonde that grabbed his attention in the first place.
Across the hall, Victor felt eyes burning into his body. He looked away from Eddie as he talked and met the eyes that was causing his discomfort.
The taller male quickly averted his eyes to the ground ad Vic smiled. "Hey, is that the new kid Ben was talking about last week?"
The other 6 teens turned and looked where the blonde had pointed. "I think so. He looks new." Mike said, shrugging his shoulders.
Everyone turned away and looked back at what Richie was showing on his phone- everyone except Victor.
It was now Belch who was feeling the sweet burn of attention, looking back to the other.
He was about to walk to him before the bell rang, signaling the beginning of the day. The two broke their eye contact and walked separate ways down the hallway.
The whole situation was straight out of a high school romance movie. The cliché just gets worse for the two.
Belch walked into the front office of the school and went over to the receptionist. She looked not over 25 and had blonde strands of hair through her brown.
She typed a few things on her computer before shifting her eyes, seeing the tall teen and giving a friendly smile.
"Hi sweetie. You must be Mr. Huggins right?" She questioned, keeping her smile. "Yes ma'am."
She nodded and grabbed her phone before calling over the entercom, "Will Victor Criss please come to the principals office."
She put the phone down and looked at the teen again. "He'll be here in a minute. Here is your schedule for the year and your student ID."
Belch grabbed the items from her desk and nodded. "Thank you ma'am."
"Please Mr. Huggins, call me Connie."
Belch smiled wider at that. "Well then, call me Reggie."
After that the door opened and in walked the blonde from the hallway. "Hey Con. Love the haircut."
Connie smiled at him and waved her hand. "Thank you honey. This is Reginald Huggins, we talked about him last week. He has most classes in the main hall so show him those then the outer ones." Connie explained, handing the blonde a copy of the schedule.
Vic looked over it for a moment before nodding and looking at Belch. "Well, let's go new kid."
With one last goodbye to Connie they left for the hall.
The two walked through the main hall first. "This is your first period, which is right now. Once this is over you go down here." They walked a few doors down and stopped.
"To social studies with Mr. E. He's a good teacher, very nice." Belch nodded looking the blonde up and down.
Vic looked back at the paper, seeing where the next class was. "It looks like your 3rd period is in the Math and Science building."
