You weaved through the corridors, trying your best to avoid Pringle as you did. You didn't fancy getting a detention, especially with the pretty much perfect record you had acquired throughout your time so far, this would be a pretty pathetic way to ruin that.

You finally reached the doors of the library and took a deep breath before pushing them open to reveal the large book covered room you loved so much. As you stepped inside and pushed the doors a bit more to make space for you to slip in, it creaked loudly, sounding down the corridor as it ricocheted off the stone walls. You cringed slightly and mentally scarred yourself for not being careful enough.

"Who's there?!" Pringle's voice echoed towards you.

"Shit." You muttered to yourself as you went further into the library and towards the back, standing before the gates to the restricted section. The strong aroma of leather bound books wafted through the air, getting stronger the further you delved into the shelves. There was a small lock stopping you from entering. You thought hard about how to pick it when you narrowed your eyebrows slightly and got out your wand.

"There's no way it would be this easy?.." You whispered, staring at the lock in front of you.

"Alohomora." The lock clicked and the gate swung open slightly, you just rolled your eyes and stood there for a while taking in how stupid you had been to not try that first and how the school with some of the most powerful wizards would put a spell on the door that was so pathetically dimwitted.

"Someone's in here, I know it." Apollyon Pringle said cockily as he entered the library, lamp in hand, looking around the cases filled to the brim with books. You cursed under your breath and stood, as still as you could be, praying your body wouldn't betray you and make any form of noise.

"If you come out now, your punishment won't be as severe." You thought over that for a second. He was getting closer and closer to you, you were pretty sure he was bound to find you if he kept going the way he was so you sighed and began to step forwards towards the light thinking it was the better option than getting caught by him and hanging in the dungeons by your thumbs.

You took one step forwards before a hand swung around your mouth and waist, pulling you back into the dark corner you were previously situated in and against their body trying to make the both of you look as inconspicuous as possible. This startled you and you bagan to fight against them, their grip getting tighter till their tall stature leant down to whisper in your ear.

"I suspect unless you want a detention, you stop squirming." That all too familiar voice sent a small shiver up your spine. You rolled your eyes and stopped fighting against him. Watching as Pringle angrily tutted and left in obvious aggravation.

Realising you were still in the same position, you bit his hand and he pulled it away, hissing at the pain and you pulled out of his grip.

"What was that for? I just helped you." He snarled as you turned to face him, his features only recognisable in the dim moonlight streaming through the gaps between books.

"Oh so now you decide to talk to me?" You rolled your eyes and walked towards the restricted section again, now entering not looking back at Tom. He simply followed behind.

"Why so annoyed, did you miss me?" He said smugly, winking as he turned towards a small bookcase in the corner of the room.

"Oh, terribly. My life just fell apart while you were away, I just longed day in and day out to see your smug face again. You were all I thought about." The dominant sarcasm in your voice made him roll his eyes and chuckle slightly.

"What are you doing in the restricted section anyway? Like I said in the library a few months ago, you don't exactly seem like the type not only to seek a book within the restricted section, but to break in in the first place."
