Your mouth starts watering at the smell of fresh meat.
It has been ages since the scouts had gotten a proper meal.
Sasha scrambles forward like a hungry dog and tries to snatch the meat for herself.
"OI!"
"Sasha no!"
"Ouch!"
"Get back here you little-!"
Connie grabs Sasha's sleeve and pulls her back.
"Hey!" Protests Sasha.
She kicks and screams as Jean and Eren join Connie, holding her back.
You chuckle as you watch Sasha get dragged away from the table.

A few minutes of screaming and struggling later, everyone settles down and sits at the table.
"Jesus Christ, that girl will do anything to get her hands on some food" said Connie.
Jean grunted in agreement.
You take a slice of bread and some meat.
As expected, it was cold and chewy.
You sigh, wishing that you had eaten earlier while it was warm.
After gulping the rest of your meal down, you stand up.
"Leaving so soon?" Asks Eren.
Eren was a someone you thought of as a good friend.
"Yea, I want to take a walk outside and get fresh air." You respond.
You leave the canteen and start walking under the starry night sky.
The crickets were chirping and the gentle wind flowed trough your hair.
"Y/N?" Said a voice
You turn around to face a short man.
It was Levi Heichou.
"O-oh hi! I did not see you there" you stutter.
Levi raised an eyebrow.
"Was that a way of calling me short?"
"N-no! Of course not!"
Levi chuckled.
"I'm just kidding, you don't need to be so tense."
You sigh in relief.
"Anyways, what are you doing out here? Shouldn't you be inside with the rest of the scouts eating?" He asks.
"Oh uh, I already ate and I wanted to take a stroll"
Levi looks up at the sky.
You glance at him.
Did he always look this relaxed?..
Levi looks at you in the eyes.
You go red in the face, embarrassed.
"You should go to bed now, it's getting late and you have to wake up early tomorrow." He said.
"R-right.. Ill see you in the morning then." You stutter, still embarrassed.
You watch as Levi walks away.
Why am I so shy around Heichou?.. I'm never like this around anyone else.
You shake the thought away and head off.

You are awaken by the sound of Sasha crying at Mikasa's feet begging her for a potato.
You sit up and rub your eyes.
What time is it?
You look at the clock on the wall.
7:25
"Shit! I have five minutes to get ready!" You say while jumping out of bed grabbing your uniform.
You hurriedly change and run out the door after the others.

Outside where everyone was to gather

Am I forgetting something?..
You blink and ignore the thought.
You go stand with the others, putting your right fist over your heart and your left one behind your back.
Levi walks towards everyone.
Something catches his attention.
He glares at you.
You gulp and stand up straighter.
Levi walks up to you.
"It seems you are forgetting something" he says after a long pause.
"I-I'm not forgetting anything?.." you ask.
The captain looks you up and down.
"Your not forgetting anything you say?"
"..."
Levi sighs,
"Your ODM gear brat."
You suddenly remember.
You had been in such a hurry that you forgot to equip your ODM!
"Go to Hange and ask her for spare gear, if you make this mistake again you will not be let off easy."
Nodding your head, you run quickly over to Hange.
Hange was tinkering with something you could not recognise.
"Ma'am?" You ask politely.
Hange looks up at you.
She notices your missing gear.
"You need ODM gear?" Hange asks.
"Yes please" you reply.
She hands you the gear and you strap it on.
"T-thanks..."
"Is something bothering you?"
You look up at Hange.
"No, it's nothing"
Hange chuckles.
"Is it Levi?" She asks.
"What?! N-no!"
You look away red in the face.
"Look, I know Levi can be a bit cold sometimes, but that's just how he is."
You look back at Hange.
"I guess your right.." you say quietly.
"Now, everyone is waiting for you, you should head back." Said Hange.
You salute and run back to the others...
