One of a Kind {Regulus Black x Reader}

From the Beginning

"Well this isn't awkward at all." You whispered to yourself in a sarcastic way, but the compartment was quiet enough so every guy heard you. You just continued with read.

"James Potter."

"Hmm?" You looked up.

"I'm James Potter," said the boy with glasses, "these are my friends. Remus Lupin." James gestured his hand to the caramel haired boy. "Peter Pettigrew." He moved his hand towards the small one next to Remus, "and Sirius Black." James just nodded to the boy next to him.

"You're named after a star?" You asked.

"Yeah." responded Sirius with a small shrug. You didn't think he really cared.

"I think that's cool...being named after the brightest star in our night sky. The Canis Major is one of my favorite constellations. My top favorite is Orion. I would see it every time I visited my family during the holidays. I guess the zodiacs are pretty cool too. The constellations and the the whole personality stuff. Honestly, the night sky in general is fascinating, and now I feel like I'm talking too much. " You said, muttering the last part. "Sorry, sometimes I talk a lot, especially when it's something I'm passionate about. I'm (y/n)(l/n). Transfer student from Ilvermorny."

"Transfer student? I thought Hogwarts didn't have a transferring program." Remus murmured, furrowing his eyebrows.

"Hogwarts doesn't. But I'm so amazing that Hogwarts just had to have me." You jokingly flipped your hair to be dramatic. Realizing what you've said, you just blurted, "Sorry...big ego." You pointed to yourself and things went quiet again. 'Great job (y/n)' you thought.

"What are you reading?" Peter asked, breaking the silence.

"Oh- uh...it's a No-Maj book." You casually responded.

"No-Maj?" Peter questioned.

"Yeah. No-Maj." You were confused on why they weren't familiar with your term. "No-Maj...No Magic?" You looked at them and they were still clueless. "Non-Wizard."

"Oooohh." All the guys came to realization all at once.

"We call them Muggles." James replied.

"Oh- well then this is a muggle book." You finally said.

"Are you a muggle-born?" James asked, "you know, are your parents muggles? Just curious, there's nothing wrong with it."

"Um yeah...if that means I have no-maj parents, then yes." You responded.

'Why are they called muggles? It sounds strange if you ask me.' You couldn't help but wonder.

"Why don't we try getting to know each other," you suggested, but came to a realization. "Although you guys seem to know each other already..."

"Sure. Why not? Go ahead and ask us a question." Sirius smirked.

"Oh..." You blushed, just a little. To be fair you were a natural blusher and it was a constant thing no matter who you were with. "Well I don't know...what are your guys' favorite color?" You asked.

"That's your first question?" James snickered and the other guys chuckled at his comment.

"Oh I'm sorry, what do you want me to ask? What's the exact time of your birth and what do you do every single day so I can make a schedule for all of your activities so then I'll know exactly where you are and what you're doing every minute of the day? Besides you can learn a lot about a person by their favorite color." You replied quick and casual. The guys looked at you as if you were insane. Then looked at each other. Back at you. Then at each other. Then back at you. All the sudden they bursted out laughing. You laughed along of course.

"You sure are something." Sirius commented.

"I know." You laughed and had a good feeling about these group of guys.

Hi this is my first story and I'm pretty excited! I started this at 1 a.m. when I couldn't sleep lol. If you're reading this thank you. Also in the beginning it was like you were introducing yourself and then the story just continued. I'm also debating if I should make different povs. Anyway, have a good day/afternoon/night! (Updated) A/N: Okay so I wrote this chapter literally a month and a half ago and...well...it's definitely not the best- I used the "awkward" waayyyyyyy too much-. But yeah, I would say my writing got better over the chapters sooo yeah :) Thanks for reading and I love you! <3
