One of a Kind {Regulus Black x Reader}

James's pov

"Why does (y/n) want to meet us here again?" I asked.

"I dunno, she wanted to talk to us about something." Moony answered. The Marauders and I were at the empty courtyard.

"I'm bored!" Wormtail whined.

"Shush! Here she comes." Padfoot gave Wormtail a small shove.

"Hello everyone!" (Y/n) beamed.

"Hey." Moony smiled.

"Hi." Wormtail waved.

"Ello mum." Sirius joked and (y/n) rolled her eyes.

"What are you planning?" I questioned.

"I know you're going to need practice with...you know..."

"Oohhh so this is why we're here. To practice." I winked.

"Yup! Now, I assigned roles, James you're you, Remus you're Snape and Mary, Sirius you're Marlene and Dorcas, and Peter you're me. I'll be Lily."

"Cool! I'm you! 'Go eat your breakfast!' 'I'm amazing!' 'I'm attracted to myself!' " Wormtail imitated, we all laughed except for
(y/n).

"I don't talk like that." She crossed her arms.

"Sure you don't." Moony teased.

"Okay okay, I sort of sound like that."

"Sort of?" I lift my eyebrows.

"Okay fine. In some way I do. Can we focus now?" We smiled in agreement. "Okay, let me set the scene. Lily and her friends are leaving together after quidditch practice. Remus, right now, you're Mary. Sirius, right now you're Marlene. Peter you're me. Now walk with me."

"Why?" Wormtail asked.

"Cause I'm Lily. James, pretend this is a real situation. Okay?" I nodded. Wormtail, Moony, Padfoot, and (y/n) acted like Lily and her friends.

'How do I get her attention? Hmmm...oh! I know!'

"Oi! Evans!" I yelled and (y/n) facepalmed herself.

"CUT!" she yelled and walked to me. "James..." she sighed.

"What?"

"Try approaching us." (Y/n) sighed, "Like...walk next to us. Try to start a conversation of some sort. Or...you can try complimenting Marlene to be polite."

"Mmm okay."

"OKAY LET'S START FROM THE TOP!" (Y/n) gave me a thumbs up and then got into character. "ANNDDDDD ACTION!"

"Oi! McKinnon!" I called.

"Yes?" Padfoot acted.

"Er...you did a really good job today."

"Thanks..." Padfoot took a small pause, "you too...mate?"

"Yeah." A few seconds of silence passed. I licked my lips, "Well that's all. Have a good day, everyone."

"You too, James." Wormtail was acting and pretended to wave. (Y/n) just stood there, Padfoot was scratching the back of his neck and I can tell Moony wasn't trying to laugh because of how awkward it was.

"Cut! James..." (Y/n) sighed again, "you did...better."

"I was awkward."

"I know...I mean, you did good but eh-..." She started whisper, "It's not your fault, Sirius isn't the best Marlene." (Y/n) smiled and a smile grew on my face as well. She stood up straight and started to speak loud enough for everyone to hear, "I think we should move on to the next scenario." We nodded our heads. "Okay...Remus, you'll have to be Snape. I'll be Lily. We don't need Peter and Sirius in this situation, so you two can just watch the scene unfold. So, this is what's happening, we are out by the Black Lake, okay? And Snape is being Snape but you have to handle the situation in a mature way so Lily can see that you're not what she thought you were. It's also a chance for her to realize that Snape is part of the problem, too. You got it?"

"Yeah, I got it."

"Come on, Remus. Just pretend we're talking about...whatever Lily and Snape talks about. ANNNNDDDD ACTION!"

"Lily, you are the only friend I have." Moony acted (in a very good Snivel- Snape impression.) I could hear Padfoot and Wormtail chuckling at Moony's impression as well.

"Is that Potter over there? What does he want?" (Y/n) acted to be annoyed.

'Go up to them.'

"Good evening." I smiled.

"Hi." (Y/n) said, stiffly.

"Where are your little friends, Potter? Finally realized that you guys aren't worth anyone's time?"

"No."

"Then what are they doing? Finding more ways to annoy people?"

"Sev! Don't be rude!" (Y/n) slapped Moony's chest.

"No. They're not allowed to annoy people without me."

"I'm being honest, Potter. You guys don't have better things to do other than bothering everyone else."

"Well if we're being honest, I'll have to say that I'm done with going against you and calling you names. It's not worth my time."

"What are you mean? You won't last three seconds without being who you are. Your whole personality is being a big ego jerk!"

"Severus! I think that's enough! Let's go." (Y/n) pretended to walk away but quickly turned around and shouted,  "CUT!" She beamed, ran up to me, and gave me a huge hug. "JAMES THAT WAS AMAZING!"

"It was?" I said, and (y/n) pulled away from the hug.

"Umm yeah! You weren't being a jerk, you didn't call "Snape" any names, you defended your friends, and you were being mature! That was perfect! That is growth right there. Just make sure you act mature in a real situation." She then turned to Moony, "Also, Remus, your Snape impression is really good!"

"Thank you. I practice." Remus smirked.

"Our first practice is done." (Y/n) clapped her hands.

"Phew! I really didn't want to stay here all day." Wormtail sighed.

"Dinner should start soon, so let's head over to the Great Hall." Padfoot pronounced.

"Good idea, let's go!" (Y/n) smiled and we left the courtyard.

Regulus's pov

Everyone was in the Great Hall eating dinner. Thankfully, (y/n) wasn't staring into my soul this meal. But I was looking at her. Not necessarily her, but her and her friends. (Y/n) had baby carrots in her mouth pretending they were fangs. Potter had an orange slice covering his teeth and he was smiling. Pettigrew was towering his food, it looked like a crooked castle. Sirius tried catching grapes in his mouth. Lupin was more sane than them, as always. He was trying to juggle three apples. I thought about it, sometimes I wish I had friends like Sirius's. Someone to joke around with, someone to talk to. Without being expected to be like every other pureblood family. Without hiding who you really are.
