As I was reading it got lighter and lighter to the point where I no longer needed the candle. I thought it would be best that I went into the drawing room so I didn't wake my brothers. Henry was the first to wake, we spent about an hour alone together in the drawing room, reading and quietly talking to one another. He was telling me about all his interests. Reading, sports and looking after the animals around the house. He truly amazed me. I couldn't take my eyes off him. As we were talking more Lucy ran into the room. "Oh! Thank goodness you two are awake, I was afraid I wouldn't have anyone to talk to!" "Do not fear, Lucy" joked Henry "for we are here to listen!" he said with a little giggle.
Lucy was telling us about the magical land she found in the upstairs wardrobe. She had met a faun there named Mr Tumnus and he had taken her to his home for tea. It all sounded really pleasant, until she got to the part about the White Witch, what a ghastly women! All of a sudden Peter and Susan stormed in. "You should not be talking about this Lucy" stated Susan "it's just purely ridiculous" yelled Peter. They were sometimes way too logical.
Edmund was the last to arise from his slumber. We all went down for breakfast, which was plain honey and porridge. Then we all got dressed in our outdoor clothes and went outside to play a game of cricket. I didn't play because of my heart condition. I just sat under a tree and read with Lucy. Half-way through the game Henry walked over to us and said "I'm quite done with cricket for today. Lily, care to walk with me?" "I would love to" I smiled as I took his hand and he helped me up. "Lucy would you care to join us?" Henry asked. Lucy just smirked a little "I'm alright reading my book just here!"
I honestly felt a little embarrassed, I had not told Henry about my condition, but he obviously would now know, seeing as I was in a coma for 2 days! We walked through the house gardens until we came to a flowing river with a bridge to cross. It was quite a wide river and we were about half-way across before he stopped me. "Lily," he faced me "I know about your condition, your brothers told me why you were in that coma." I looked down to the water highly embarrassed. He placed his hand gently on my chin and pulled my head up so I was looking straight into his gorgeous emerald eyes. "Please do not be ashamed, I do not think there is anything bad about it whatsoever." He smiled. "You see, my bestfriend, he had a condition like yours. I cannot see him now because of the war, but there is nothing wrong with you. Your perfect in my eyes" he blushed. I was speechless, nobody had ever understood me like that before, except for my brothers of coarse. All I could do was hug him. He wrapped his arms around me, accepting the embrace. I pulled away, blushing and we just laughed.
All of a sudden we both heard a smash and ran over to where my siblings were playing cricket. They were all staring at a window, a window that had a huge hole in it! "Goodness" I said under my breathe. We all made our way through the house to where the broken window was. As we entered the room I gasped. On the floor was the ball, broken shards of glass from the window and a knocked over suit or armor. "Well done Ed!" Peter said angrily. "You bowled it!" Edmund yell defensively. We were interrupted by the sound of clicking heels. "The McCready!" Susan shouted in a panic. "Quickly, follow me!" whispered Henry and we all followed him. He led us up lots of stairs through lots of corridors till we got to a door. Lucy had a knowing grin on her face. We opened the door and all that was inside was a wardrobe, but it was a very beautiful wardrobe. It had carvings of apple trees all over the doors. Henry ran up and opened the wardrobe door "come on!" Lucy went without hesitation, so did I. "You've got to be joking" Susan remarked. They were hurried along by the clicking getting extremely close. We all rushed into the wardrobe, Peter last. It was full of fur coats and the smell of moth balls. "Get off my toe!" I hissed at Ed "I'm not on your toe!" He yelled back.
We kept moving back, the wardrobe was extremely long and I was slightly confused. All of a sudden I felt quite cold and I stumbled back onto a pile of snow! I looked behind me and I gasped in awe. This was the land Lucy was telling us about! I quickly got up off the cold snow and went to stand next to Lucy as the others came through. Henry came and stood beside me, still looking around. Edmund went and stood away from the rest of us and Peter and Susan fell onto the snow like I did. They got up sheepishly, still gaping at the forest around us. "Impossible" Susan muttered under her breathe. Lucy giggled "Don't worry, I'm sure it just your imagination!"
