V-DAY

Paige POV

We quickly ran outside after Izzy. I don't think she was in the right frame of mind. When she seen the guys she quickly turned around and bolted out the door. Chris one of her potentials, offered to go but that wouldn't be a good look for him.

We finally caught up to her she was sitting on the curb with her face resting in her hands. I walked to one side of her and sat down while Rose did the same on the other.

"It's ok Izzy whatever it is we got you" I said as I wrapped my arm around her shoulders

"What happened babes?" Rose said

"(Sniffling)he meet up with my parents for lunch." She said wiping her eyes with the back of her hand

"who did babes?" I asked

She looked at me and the tears started falling again.

"Gabe!"

"What! How? Why? What else could he possibly fucking want from you?" Rose said

I could tell that she was getting irritated for her.

"(Sniffling) I dunno, I...I was blindsided...and...and my parents seem to be on his side of things...I don't think they understand the full extent of what happened." She said

I wrapped my arms around her shoulders again pulling her into me.

"Shhh...babe it's ok." I said

"I didn't think seeing him would open up old wombs that I buried a long time ago."

"Aww babe it's ok..how about we order in to your place tonight? Have a girls date and we can go through all those hot guys back there?" Rose said

She laughed. "Haha leave it to you to make me laugh Rose." Izzy said smiling

"Well babes that's why you love me so much." Rose told her.

"Ditto that." I said high fiving her.

"So.." Izzy said

"Yes?" We both said in unison.

"The guy with the neck tattoos in the black t-shirt is fucking hot." She said

Rose and I looked at one another and busted out laughing.

"What did I say something wrong? She asked.

"Do we or don't we know what you like." Rose said

"I fucking knew you would like him." I said smiling from ear to ear.

She looked between Rose and I confused.

"What?"

"Nothing" I said

"well he is one of the four guys we picked." Rose said

"Four I thought you said five?"

"We did but there was two guys out of the bunch that were more our speed. The fifth guy I was going to choose walked out."

"Hahaha...leave it to you two to find someone for yourselves."

"You know me girl."

We sat and talked on that curb for about thirty minutes which felt like hours. I knew this is what She needed and us being her best friend we had to make sure she was ok.

Just as we stood up, Rose and I gave her a hug and told her we would meet at her place. She turned and ran right into someone.

"Oh! I am so sorry about that, I wasn't..." Izzy said

She stopped mid sentence mesmerized with who stood before her.

"Well this wasn't how this was supposed to go." I said

"Chris Izzy, Izzy Chris...Izzy this is one of your potential mates and one of the finalists." Rose said

She looked at Rose than at me, before turning her gaze back to Chris.

"You ok beautiful?" He asked

She nodded her head, never taking her eyes off of him. She seemed at lost for her words.

"Izzy why don't you go ahead and head home. Paige and I are going to clean up here and we will be there in about an hour." Rose said

She nodded her head again not taking her eyes off him. She smiled one last time and turned on her heels to leave about to walk away before she stopped and turned back around to Chris.

"I can't wait for our date sexy." She said smiling and then walking away.

Rose and I sat and watched them as they both couldn't tear their eyes off one another.

"What the hell Chris you ruined the surprise damn." Rose said.

"What? She obviously likes me did you see the way she was checking me out?" he said

"Did you see the way your dick was bulging out of your shorts?" I said

"What..Shit" He said turning around and adjusting himself.

"hahaha well at least we know that your sexually attracted to her." Rose said.

"Right" I chimed in.

"so..sorry." He said getting red in the face before walking away.

"He may be what she needs." Rose said

"Maybe...let's go get them sorted so we can clean up and head to her place and show her the rest of the guys." I said

"I like that idea."

"What are we thinking for dinner?"

"her favorite?" Rose said

"Pasta it is then and I will stop by the store and get her favorite bottle of red wine.

We walked back to the building and got all the guys that were left situated before cleaning up. Alex actually stayed back and helped us move some of the heavy equipment we used today. After everything was done we said our goodbyes and parted ways.

I pulled into Izzy place at the same time as Rose and gave our keys to the valet before heading inside.

"Oh look someone left heart flowers." I said picking them up, while Rose knocked on the door.

She flung it open and a smiled spread across her face.

"Aww you guys, y'all didn't have to stop and get me some flowers." She said

"Umm we didn't they were on your doorstep when we came up." I said walking into here place.

"Oh." She exclaimed

"here open it." Rose said

Izy took the card and opened it.
