Em had no idea, but it would have been a bit more helpful if there was a pamphlet on the matter.
Her eyes scrunched up as she thought, looking around at her surroundings again, like an idea for a shelter would just magically appear in her head- naturally, that didn't happen, because shit like that only happened in movies & books. And as far as she knew, she wasn't in either.
So yeah, she was screwed, big time.
The blonde felt almost like crying as she tried to warm up her hands. Dammit, why was she always crying? She really needed to get a handle on her emotions. E couldn't go around crying at every inconvenience. But seriously, the universe needed to figure out what the hell her plot line was, because honestly, she wanted to have a few strong words.
Blinking away the tears, although it wasn't hard to dry out her eyes with the amount of wind that went past her face, she pressed onwards down the stream. Might as well keep moving, since she would rather be awake if a bobcat decided to maul her.
The girl took step after step as the sun began to fade below the hill, the darkness comforting but the cold a painful reminder on her skin. Her teeth began to chatter slightly as she flexed her fingers, trying to keep the blood flowing.
Her motions became repetitive after ten minutes of following the stream down the valley. Shiver, chatter, step. Shiver, chatter, step. Clench your fingers, shiver, step. Make sure you're not going to freeze to death.
It had dropped to around thirty degrees, and to someone who's lived in California their entire life, it was freezing. She didn't have the body to protect herself from the cold, her blood being so thin after the scalding hot conditions of the Diego Garcia base.
Briefly, she wished she had a companion, someone to watch her back. But that hope quickly died. Yeah right, like anyone even knew where she was.
All the girl could do was walk & wait.
---
Mikayla looked at the screen, now completely black. They'd just watched as her friend separated into ash, disappearing from the base before the video cut out completely. The brunette seriously wondered if she was correct, and that her friend indeed had ended up in the Nemesis.
Then, she remembered that the Nemesis didn't even have a signal- so they couldn't just ground-bridge there and back. So if she was.. she was on her own. Shit.
"Wait." Raf tried, and Mik looked back to see him sitting by his desk, and she wondered how much time had passed of pure silence. "If we found you because of your signal, could we find her with hers?"
Mikayla's eyes widened as she thought of it, before she remembered. "No, E has a prototype signal blocker. She wouldn't take it off if there was a chance that the 'cons would come running."
There was a collective huff in the air as the team tried to wrap their minds around it. Until a ping came up on their radar.
Ratchet took a glance at the monitor before sighing, nodding to Arcee and Bulkhead.
"A relic's signal was just detected." he began, entering the coordinates on the ground bridge. "I don't think the decepticons have been able to discover its location yet, but I would be cautious."
A curt nod was seen from the femme. "Got it, come on Bulkhead."
The green mech huffed, following behind before stopping by the bridge. He turned to the girl besides her and pointed. "Miko, stay here."
The pinkette pouted, crossing her hands over her chest as she watched them leave- Smokescreen watching their backs with jealousy before they disappeared from view.
