The following day...
John was surprised to see you up and ready wearing the hood of your coat covering your head and black pants from Mrs. Hudson. The scarf is already wrapped around your neck. It looked like you were all ready to leave the flat and go off somewhere.
You pace back and forth in the living room, and when you see John by the door you come up with him, "Doc! I need to borrow your phone! Quickly!"
John was surprised and quickly fished out his phone from his pocket. You type a text, and then a couple of minutes later you give it back to John who was surprised by your actions. He read your text and raised his eyebrow at you.
"So you're coming now? Why sudden?" Concern John looks at you with worried eyes and yet confused wanting to know the reason behind it.
You hummed looking at him. "Just."
"Oh come on. You're coming and you won't tell me?" John asked and put his phone back on his coat.
"I wanted to see the case you guys will be handling this time."
You gave him a small quick smirk and saw Sherlock buttoning his shirt up and you grabbed his coat up by the door and gave it to him. Sherlock was surprised to see you at this time of day and supposedly, he thought that you were gone off for work. He looks at his wrist seeing that it's seven-thirty am.
"Doc, I'm starving!" You shouted as you descended downstairs and the boys looked at each other confused by your excited behavior and followed you.
"That's a lot of food Y/N," John said beside you, looking at your plate consisting of egg, burger, a few slices of bacon, sausage, chips, and a slice of toast with a hot chocolate drink. Since you don't have any money, Sherlock will be the one paying for your food while John will be on his own, he only ordered beans, eggs, and toast with his tea.
"How about your work Y/N? You were so eager yesterday to go to work." John asked as he chowed down.
"Oh don't worry about that. I need to show up yesterday. Had to, didn't I?"
"Why don't you just join us? We handle cases and we also collect fees too. We're not doing this just for fun you know."
"Please, you're with him." Y/N gazed at the detective, then continued. "It's his version of fun, and what else will I do to support myself if I don't have my own job?"
"I know. That's why I'm collecting the fees. Sherlock wouldn't accept them but we had to."
Sherlock was watching You and John converse while nibbling on his food across the table, impatiently looking at both of you while waiting for the call.
