Restart (Rob x Fem!Reader)

"Y/N?"

You looked away from the car window, hearing your uncle call your name.

"We're here!"

You looked back out the window, seeing colorful houses and many people outside.

You sighed.

"What's the point in moving here if we're gonna leave soon anyway?" You asked your Uncle, making him look at your frowning face in the rear-view mirror.

He pulled into the driveway of an empty-looking house. "We needed a fresh start. And I plan on keeping us here longer than last time. Maybe even stay here forever!" He told you.

You scoffed, "Sure." You replied, grabbing your bag and getting out the car. Your Uncle opened his mouth to call you, but you were already halfway down the street.

He sighed, laying his head on the steering wheel of the car. Meanwhile, you were checking around the neighborhood. 

You went past the school, admiring how big it was. "Um, excuse me?" You jumped at the sound of a voice.

You looked around and eventually met the, well, 'eye' of a boy. "Hi." You waved. The kid stared at you for a while, looking like he was contemplating on talking to you or not.  

"What do you want?" You asked, unintentionally sounding agitated.

"S-Sorry! I just wanted to ask you something b-but, I'll go-" "No, no, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to sound upset. I just had some things on my mind." You mumbled.

"O-Oh. Well, I've never seen you around before and I just thought to ask I-If you just moved here?" He asked, his blue skin darkening in color as he shyly looked at you.

You nodded, "Yeah, I did. Today, actually." You clarified.

 You sat down on a wooden bench and then you heard a creak as the other kid sat next to you, "I-I'm Rob! Not that anyone remembers..." he looked down sadly.

You noticed that he stuttered a lot. Which was cute. You stuck your hand out, "I'm Y/N. Nice to meet you."

"So, where do you live?" Rob asked. He seemed to be more comfortable after you introduced yourself.

You pointed right. "Well, since you got here during the weekend, I assume you'll be at school this week."

You shrugged, "I can't say that I'm excited about that. Unless you'll be there." You smiled for the first time since Rob spoke to you, which, in turn, made him smile.

"It would be nice to have some friends for a change. Back home, most people didn't like me. I can't imagine why." You sighed. "But, I don't care." You shrugged.

"Y/N!" You turned to your right, seeing you Uncle running towards you both. You crossed your arms, looking away from him, "What?" You answered. 

Rob waved to him and your Uncle grinned at you, "Who's this, N/N?" Your cheeks tinted pink, "Don't call me that!" You clenched your fists.

"Oh, am I embarrassing you in front of your new friend? Sorry, but I came to get you. We need to start unpacking."

You nodded, standing up, grabbing your bag and your Uncle left. You looked behind you, staring at Rob. "Hey, um, I don't know how this 'friendship' thing works, but..." You began.

Rob stood up, looking at you, "I hope I see you at school!" Rob answered your question. You were surprised, but smiled kindly, "Same to you."

You glanced back at Rob, seeing him turn on his heel and happily make his way to wherever he was going.

You went back home, opening the door and seeing your Uncle holding a box. He placed it on the floor, "Who was that boy? He was adorable!"

"His name's Rob. He's nice." You shrugged while sitting on the couch and reading. You felt eyes staring at you and looked up at your Uncle. He was looking at you smugly.

You stared back, "Don't you think he's cute?~" he asked. You looked back down at your book, "No, not really." You said nonchalantly. "Your bound to start dating in a few months!"

You rolled your eyes. "That's not likely. But, think what you want." You continued your book.

First day in a new town and you already have one friend. Or acquaintance, really. But, it's a nice change of pace.

(A/N: First chapter! Word count is 726, which is way shorter than any chapter I've ever written, but only because this was just a intro!)
