Sunlight shone through my curtains and I realized it stopped raining. I felt happier. I had the second day of tryouts today which meant I had to deal with Jane. She wasn't that bad, I just hate how close her and Daniel are. Sometimes, I think she's pretending to be my friend so that she can get closer to Daniel.

I shut my locker to see a Daniel beside me. "Hey slugger." He wrapped his arm around me as we walked. "Jane's throwing a party tonight if you want to come with me." I pressed my lips together into a thin line. "I don't know. After everything that happened last night maybe I should stay home. You can go without me though," I responded. "C'mon babe, please. Everything will be fine, I promise. Plus, i'm not going unless you come." He playfully pushed me. "Alright, fine. I'll go, but I have the second day of tryouts today." He jumped up in the air. "Yes! Jane does too and her party doesn't start til 9:30. You won't regret coming."

Tryouts started out the same as yesterday. We all stood in a line and said our chants. This time, Ali ordered us all to do a back handspring. I'm pretty flexible and have had my share of tumbling classes, but I haven't done one in months. "Go!" she yelled. I threw myself backwards, bending my back and making sure my posture was perfect. She walked to the back towards me. "Y/n, I have to admit that was impressive." She started writing notes on her clipboard. "Let's hope you make the team," she winked.

Jane's party slowly approached. It was 8:30 and I started to get ready. I knew a lot of people were going to be there so I dressed causal, not wanting to stand out. I slipped on my beat up white converse and slipped out the door. Daniel was waiting for my outside in his truck. He kissed me as I climbed in. "I'm so glad you agreed to come." "I didn't really have a choice, did I?" "Nope" he said.

We finally arrived. Jane's house was enormous. She had a grand pool on her backyard with a hot tub. Me and Daniel stepped out of the car. He grabbed my hand. "Relax. I'm right here." I nodded. As we walked in, I noticed Ali and Jane sitting on the couch. "I'm so glad you guys made it!" she said giving Daniel a hug. She motioned us to sit down with her and Ali. I felt uncomfortable. I was sitting with Daniel's ex and his best friend who both caused us problems. "I'm going to go get drinks" I said. "Here babe, i'll come with you," Daniel said grabbing my hand. "Well, that was awkward," I said grabbing a cup. "Yeah, but let's just try and enjoy the party." We walked back over to the couch to see Jane was gone. Ali awkwardly sat on the couch looking at us. "How have you been Daniel?" she asked. "Good. It's been nice not having you around" he said. My mouth flew open and I started to laugh. Ali rolled her eyes. "I'm trying to be nice." "Ali, your never nice. What makes you think Daniel still likes you?" I asked. "Y/n, you do realize I can take Daniel from you again, right? I'd keep my mouth shut if I were you." I tilted my head. "You do realize that you tried once and it didn't work, right?" She scoffed. "You think he still likes you? Little do you know he's hooking up with Jane behind your back, you just don't see it. Your nothing but an insecure girl who he got tired of. Wake up y/n, he doesn't want you anymore." I stormed out of the room to the bathroom with tears in my eyes. Daniel ran after me. I shut the door and locked it. "Y/n let me in! It's not true. You know she just wants to get inside your head." I slid down to the floor burning my head in my arms. "Dammit y/n I said let me in!" Daniel started to kick the door. "Just leave me alone, okay? You've done enough damage." "I'm not hooking up with Jane! Y/n you know that I love you. I want you and you only. Please" he pleaded. I wanted to hug him by at the same time I wanted to slap him. I didn't know wether to trust him or not. I still had trust issues because of what happened between him and Ali. I just sat on the floor crying. Maybe I was just an insecure girl who no one wants, not even Daniel.
