A World In Which I Was Me

"Alright, we need a plan" Avis slowly walked into the library where Dean, Sam, Cas, and Jasper were already sitting. Jasper and Sam didn't meet her eyes, but Dean did, and Avis knew something was wrong

"We already made a plan. One that doesn't involve you getting yourself killed" He spoke with an authority that might have worked on anyone else, but Avis rolled her eyes

"I'm the one that's supposed to kill him, not you idiots" Dean's jaw clenched, and Avis challengingly looked at him

"We are aware" Cas entered the conversation, hoping to diffuse the tension before anyone got into a fistfight "But you are too injured to fully fight Lucifer. So, we are going to trap him first"

"So what? You guys trap him, bring him back here, and I stab him while he sleeps?" She raised an eyebrow and Dean nodded like that's exactly what he was thinking "That's a stupid ass plan"

"Doesn't matter. We are doing it so deal" Dean retorted, and Avis almost wanted to smile. It had been a while since anyone had actually stood up to her or told her what to do, she kind of liked it. 

"Fine." Everyone looked at her a little shocked and Avis sat down next to Jasper "You aren't taking him, though right? No offense Jasp but you might be the worst fighter I have ever seen." Everyone started laughing Jasper blushed a little, knowing they were right. 

"Yeah no, you are both staying here. Have fun kids" Dean walked away and Avis watched the others follow him. The second Avis heard the door of the bunker close, she stood up and walked back to her room. Jasper followed her, seeing her grab the archangel blade from her duffel bag 

"Fuck, you're gonna do something stupid aren't you?" He groaned and Avis smiled, twirling the blade in her hand

"Yup" She popped the 'p' and walked past Jasper towards the kitchen "But mamma needs her fuel first."

Dean, Sam, and Cas were all piled into the Impala on their way to Bobby's. It seemed like the best place for them to trap Lucifer in a ring of Holy Fire. The tough part was going to be getting him back to the bunker.

Of course, they knew this going in, but they weren't going to let Avis try and kill Lucifer only to have him burn her to death. After seeing her in so much pain, being helpless to do anything about it, they didn't care about the prophecy anymore. Besides since when did the Winchesters follow God's plans?

They pulled up to Bobby's finding no one was home. But they had told Bobby they were coming. They set up in the library, painting the sigil they needed, having the holy fire ready, everything and anything they were going to need were with them. Except for Avis.

"So, are we ready?" Sam asked as they all stood around the sigil. Reluctantly Dean nodded, getting ready to summon him

"Are we sure that this will knock him out?" Dean gestured to Avis' keychain that was in his hand. Avis had shown him how to use it so that it could morph into a gun that could possibly injure Lucifer to the point of making him pass out or at least incapacitate his powers for a little 

"No. But it's what we have" Cas sighed, and they began the prayer. 

There were a few moments of silence where no one knew what was going to happen. Thoughts of regret, doubt, and even hope raced through all their minds thinking of how close to the end they were. Then Lucifer showed up.

Dean quickly dropped the lit match and a ring of fire surrounded him. Still wearing the body of the famed Dr. Kane Chase, Lucifer's smile grew.

"That's cute...last time I was in here, I was wearing you," He gestured towards Cas "Good times. I gotta say I miss teaming up with you Cassie" Castiel's jaw clenched and his fist tightened but he made no move to attack.
