It only took another 5 months for things to change again.

On the positive side, I wasn't moved again or anything like that. I was still a firm, if temporary, part of Group A for the moment.

On the negative though, there was something in my brain, and it shucking hurt.

The Psychs that had come to the barracks instead of the usual guards hadn't told us anything, just that we were all going to have a procedure so that we wouldn't need to head to the labs daily anymore.

Next thing I knew, I was being put under in the lab, then waking up in a hospital bed.

Actually, waking up is sort of exaggerating. My eyes opened slightly for a few seconds, and I saw something so weird in those few seconds, I thought that I'd dreamed it at first:

A boy was standing at the foot of my bed. He was fuzzy, but I managed to make out that he was really pale, and had brown hair. He moved on to the bed next to me, but then the Psych he was with grabbed his arm, and I was out again.

The next day I woke up properly and was given the once-over before being escorted to breakfast by none other than Dr. Colt.

I hadn't seen my favourite doctor much over the past year or so I'd been in Group A; maybe once a month he'd do my blood draw, or oversee my MRI. Never long enough to actually talk.

"So, how have you been doing, May?" He asked me as we walked. "Not getting into any trouble, I hope?"

"No." Hey, it wasn't a lie, you're only in trouble if you get caught, which we hadn't yet. "No trouble. History's getting repetitive, though."

"Well, history often repeats itself." He gave me his usual smile, and I honestly hadn't realized until then that I'd missed it.

When we arrived at the door to the cafeteria, he turned to me, putting his hand on my shoulder instead of patting my head, giving me a look that if I hadn't known any better, I would have called proud.

"Well, until we meet again, May." He said, still smiling and actually making me laugh a bit.

"Bye!" I waved before turning and heading inside, scanning the room for my friends.

I spotted Alby and Minho at our usual table and hurried over to join them. Newt joined us nearly 20 minutes later, and the quartet was whole once again.

"So," Minho started in a whisper once we were all eating, surprising the rest of us. "You'll never guess what I saw yesterday!"

"The inky blackness of unconsciousness?" I guessed, before dodging the bit of toast he chucked at my head.

"No, I wasn't unconscious yet!" He hissed, actually seeming annoyed at my interruption.

"Well go on then," Newt pushed. "What was it?"

Minho smirked, waving us all in closer until our heads were nearly touching.

"I saw Thomas. Y'know, the uncleared Group A guy?"

"What?!" I gasped, before covering my mouth.

That was probably too loud.

"Seriously?" Alby asked him at a normal volume, not looking convinced.

"Ssshh!" He hissed, waving his hand between us to shut us up. "Yes seriously! I was high as all Hell, but I know I saw him!"

"Oh come off it," Newt scoffed, leaning back to start eating. "You probably dreamed it, then."

"Did not!"

That's when my "dream" clicked.

"I think I saw him, too," I said, drawing their attention to me now. "I was waking up for a minute, and there was a boy at the end of my bed."
