The New Teacher | Taehyung x Reader

      'Oh what is it?' Taehyung asked with a worried expression 'is everything okay?' he quickly added.

     'Yeah yeah, it's uhm not like a very big thing but I did want to discuss it with you.'

      'Okay?' he asked puzzled

      'So the thing is I don't trust that Maya girl.'

It kind of flew out of my mouth. Taehyung's eyes widened a bit but then he laughed as if I said something funny. 

      'What are you talking about y/n?' he said still laughing, in a way this behavior annoyed me. My shyness and insecurities rapidly disappeared.

      'When you left she told me her and me are alike.'

      'You kind of are' Taehyung answered. 

This was something I didn't necessarily wanted to hear, especially not from him. I waved it away and continued.

     'When I asked why, she told me it is because she also has a thing for teachers.'

Taehyung scoffed but playfully like a chuckle. 'she was probably joking'

I crossed my arms, and the frustration build up inside of me, the anger.

      'She said I should enjoy you for now'

Taehyung first looked shocked but then shook his head 'I am sure you misunderstood that.'

      'Seriously? you're not believing me? why would I even make this shit up?'

He came closer, flicking my nose softly. 'I don't know because you're a little jealous maybe?'

      'Are you serious right now?' I said indignant

      'Come on y/n, Maya is very aware of how in love I am with you, so I don't believe she was talking about me.'

       'You're so naïve sometimes' I let out.

It was mean, but I was angry about the fact he didn't even believe me.

        'Really y/n?' he scoffed, I had hit something close to home. He stepped away.

       'I just want you to be careful with her.'

       'I am the older one here, don't treat me like I am a child y/n. I hate it when you do that.'

      'Then stop acting like one!'

We weren't conversing in a calm tone anymore, the annoyance and frustration of both us came out.

       'I can't believe that after all this bullshit I had to endure with Namjoon you are now making a fuss about the fact that I organised this event with another girl.'

       'It's not about that, it's about the fact she literally told me she is after you. how can you not understand that is upsetting.'

        'Because you are misinterpretation and overreacting, that's probably not what she meant.'

        'Perhaps you should date her as apparently you take her side in this.'

        'I am not taking anyone's side, it's just that I think you are behaving unfairly. So when you work with an ex lover I have to accept it but when I work with a random girl she suddenly is after me.'

        'YOU'RE NOT LISTENING TO ME' I shouted

The frustration had really gotten to a point I couldn't normally articulate what I was feeling anymore. the fact he kept throwing this on jealousy, and yes I was jealous but that didn't mean that what she said to me was something I imagined. yet he acted like it was.

At that point Taehyung stormed out.

Just like that he was gone.

Taehyung pov

My blood was already at a point of boiling. Why did she have to be like this?

Maya never in any way was flirtatious with me, she had not made a move on me in any way possible, we even talked about my relationship. How I explained to her that y/n was my person and that I wanted to make her proud with this event. Maya really thought that was nice and admirable. If she had been a guy instead of a girl this would all have been considered "cute" behavior but because it is a girl it's suddenly different. 

The hypocrisy was probably the thing that upset me the most. I had to endure all the Namjoon stuff, he was a guy that made love to her, that she apparently felt so close to. I needed to accept that she worked with him on almost a daily basis and yet now that a girl was even a bit more close to me yn started a whole ass argument.

I ended up in the bar at the end of the street. We went there more often, always together though, this must be the first time I am here by myself.

I drank a beer.. Going over and over my thoughts.

Could Maya really say such a thing?

No, it really had to be a misunderstanding. I never had any eyes for anyone else, and I can't imagine Maya getting any other ideas.

Eventually I returned home and yn was in bed, she was hugging the pillow and as I came closer I saw the black marks of her mascara on the sheets. It did break my heart to see her hurt. I caressed her head

        'hey baby I am sorry' I whispered, her eyes opened up 'taehyung' she said with a soft voice. I took place next to her on the bed, pulling her closer to me, as my little spoon.

        'Are we okay again?' she asked sniffling

I kissed her shoulder and murmured in affirmation.

       'But what you asked me a while ago when we had the argument about Namjoon, I want to ask you the same. I need you to trust me.'

She turned around so that her face was facing mine. she laid her hand on my cheek.

       'I will, I am sorry I just wanted to tell you what happened'

         'I know, but you must know nobody is a threat for us. You're still the only one I have eyes for' I whispered, and she smiled but I wasn't too sure it was all too genuine.

y/n pov

I couldn't say the whole maya thing didn't occupy my mind to a great extent. I sat with Luna again on Friday, this semester we both followed a different course that's why we didn't see each other as frequently as usual. She immediately noticed something was off, I told her the entire story about the exhibition and what happened after.

     'He didn't believe me' I eventually concluded.

      'What do you mean?'

       'like we got into an argument.'

         'ah wtf, he better believe you, I mean why would you even make this up?'

        'That's what I told him as well.'

The bell rang indicating that Luna had to go to class and I would go to my office to work. I had a hard time concentrating but I tried.

Near 18:00 there was a knock on my door, it opened and an excited Jin appeared.

    'We're going to have drinks together with the team, you want to join?'
