Gojou told you that he'll tell Itadori that he had two options, be immediately executed or consume all of Sukuna's fingers, and get executed by then.
You opened the door to see Itadori gagging while Gojou smiled.
"He ate the finger, damn wish I could've seen it!"
You cleared your throat as Itadori looked at both you and Gojou.
"Something wrong?" Itadori asked, curiosity slipping in his tone.
"Oh it's nothing," Gojou said. You approached Itadori and handed him the white daisies. He gasped at the flowers and bowed at you. He put it beside his grandfather's photo and smiled at you softly. You felt your heart flutter and your face extorted a flustered expression.
You bowed your head two times aggressively, resorting to your hair looking like a mop. Gojou chuckled and lightly strolled the room.
"I take it this means you've steeled your resolve?" Gojou asked, looking like he was thinking about something.
"But I can't just do nothing about the curse," Itadori said, rubbing his nape as he did. He was looking at the picture of his grandfather, which made you look too. It was a normal looking grandfather flashing a bright smile. You swore you felt your heart melt.
"That last request is gonna be a pain in my ass," Itadori said, which made you raise an eyebrow. What request was he talking about, exactly?
"I'll eat every part of Sukuna. I don't care what happens from there," Itadori stated. You admired the look in his eyes, there was determination within it which you've never seen that look from your sensei. He had a blindfold on after all. He then looked at you and then at Gojou.
"I've already decided how I'm going to die," Itadori said, which made you aghast but made Gojou radiate positive energy.
"Nice! I like people like you," Gojou exclaimed. Gojou then turned his head at your direction and smirked.
"L/N-san, you're gonna have to watch Itadori over. More specifically, Sukuna," Gojou plainly said. You widen your eyes at Gojou's declare and so does Itadori. You sighed, keeping your cool and hugging your clipboard as thoughts overshadowed your mind.
Why do I need to guard him? He can control himself perfectly well, can't he?
And if I can escape around this which the probability of it would be 30%, how would I take care of him?
Would I just stare at Itadori the whole day, waiting for black markings around his body?
Even in his sleep? Well that doesn't seem like a bad idea overall.
"Gojou-sensei, why do I have to do this?" You asked plainly. There were much more pros than cons but you were genuinely interested why Gojou assigned this to you. It should've been entrusted by at least a first grade sorcerer.
If you must know, you're a second grade just like Panda and Fushiguro. He chuckles and walks over to you. He pats on your shoulder as he explained.
"For extra measures," he plainly said. You sighed, knowing "no" wasn't an option. You nodded and Gojou smiled before leaving the room.
"Sounds like a fun hell awaits," he said.
"Make sure you're packed by the end of the day," and he leaves you and Itadori in the room.
