One week later, Imperial Palace

Seven days had passed since the manhunt for Tatsumi had stopped. The Jaegers and anyone else involved in the hunt for Night Raid quickly got back to it and continued. Thanks and a large part to the Jaegers, the hunt quickly got back on track and progressed faster than before. The overall mood of those involved had increased dramatically over the course of seven short days. With the way things were going, it was almost as if what transpired over the course of the last three months never happened. Needless to say, things were going well in the capital although one person, in particular, has been rather ecstatic the last few days.

It was currently early morning in the Imperial Capital. Despite that, the Jaegers were already up and moving even with it being so early in the day. All of them looked well-rested and chipper. Well, all of the Jaegers that were present as-

(Y/N): "Morning."

Well, this is a surprise. I see we're breaking the norm here already as (Y/N) isn't 'fashionably early' for once.

Moving on from that slight and unnecessary detour, the other Imperial Arms users greeted (Y/N) in their own way.

(Y/N): "I've gathered all of you here this morning because we were unable to meet with each other yesterday... And I'd like a status report, of course. So what has everyone found? Anything new?"

Bols: "Run and I were unable to find anything new... Unfortunately."

Wave: "Same here... Just a bunch of Danger Beasts and bandits."

(Y/N): "I see... What about your super-soldiers, Dr. Stylish? Were they able to find anything?"

Dr. Stylish: "As a matter of fact, yes! One in particular smelt the strong scent of feline!"

(Y/N) wanted to question Dr. Stylish for the odd remark. Once he remembered his encounter with a certain female in the capital a few months ago, however, this peculiar answer he received became much more clear.

(Y/N): <That Leone girl.> "Interesting... Well, if you don't mind I'd like to search with you and your super soldiers and take me to the location the scent was picked up from."

Dr, Stylish: "Of course!"

(Y/N): "Excellent."

Suddenly, the door to the room the Jaegers were currently meeting in was opened. Long blue hair and eyes immediately gave the visitor away.

(Y/N): "What are you doing here this early?"

Esdeath: "I came to say good morning since you didn't."

(Y/N): "You expect me to? We end up meeting at some point in the day anyway,"

Esdeath: "Yes. I do."

As normally expected of him, (Y/N) waved this off.

(Y/N): Whatever."

Esdeath: "Here."

(Y/N): "Hm?"

Esdeath handed (Y/N) a mug. The color of the liquid inside said mug was different from the usual stuff he drank in the morning, which was coffee.

(Y/N): "What is this?"

Esdeath: "Something I made myself."

(Y/N): "Uh..."

Esdeath: "Are you going to drink it or not? I made it for you after all."

(Y/N): "Okay, fine, I'll drink it. But only because you made it."
