Man And Machine

It was weird, being a titan, you didn't need to eat, drink, sleep or even use the bathroom! I stood up and walked out to the field and began practising to dodge projectiles and perfect my aim with the railgun. During that training I learned I could do a dash and a strafe. I also learned that I had some sort of disk I could launch that creates some sort of trip wire, for what purpose I did not know yet, because it didn't activate when I walked through it.

I was training one day, when I was approached by two titans asking what squad I'm from, and I started to get nervous, until my dad came running out, telling them that she is not apart of the militia or imc, that she is his daughter that had her conciousness into a titan chassis to save her life, because she was killed by shrapnel from a grenade. They both looked at him like he was crazy, then asked me to open the cockpit, and come outside

I didn't really know how to open the cockpit, but just focused on opening the cockpit in my mind, and it opened, with no one inside. Is this enough proof for you? I mean my voice being different is kindof a dead giveaway. They then realise that they truly are dealing with a titan that has human level intelligence, possibly higher than bt.

"We could use someone like you on the battlefield, would you like to meet Sarah Briggs? It's people like you that could help end this war!" End the war? My parents can finally live in peace! "Alot of families can live in peace." 'Wait, Emma, please don't go It's too dangerous! I can't lose you a second time.....' I am a titan dad, I was built for battle, and I can't just stay at home while your freedom is on the Line!

Besides, it would be a bit awkward if a 20 foot tall robot lived with humans, also i have always wanted to get out there and explore the universe! I promise I will visit every now and then.
'I think we should let her go.' 'But hunny!'

'Look, I don't like her going either, but I think it's for the best. She isn't our little girl anymore, she's a 20 foot robot, that is meant for battle and we've got to accept that!' 'Yes I suppose you're right, but you better come to visit whenever you can, ya hear?' Yes dad I will, don't worry. Alright, I'm willing to join you, but only if you can give my family a food care package and some weapons so they may defend themselves!

'I've fixed up my own titan to defend myself ya know Emma!' Really?! 'Yeah haha!' "We're going to pretend we didn't hear that...." 'thankyou.' Alright fellas let's go meet this "Sarah Briggs, shall we? "Right away!" After that, we headed into the ship and we took off to go meet up with the main cruiser. I looked out the window as we took off and was in awe at the beauty and vastness of space! "Beautiful sight isn't it?" Said one of the pilots. It sure is.... we eventually made it to a ship named, the MCS James MacAllen.

I've never seen such a massive ship before.... "pretty impressive ain't she." Mentioned another pilot. I'll say..... eventually we docked into the flagship and went aboard, making our way to commander Sarah Briggs of the SRS (special recon squadron) unit. As we were making our way to the commander, I noticed a pilot staring at me. I knelt down and asked: can I help you?

The pilot looked at me and said: "I thought you were destroyed in battle....." oh you must've been linked to this titan last. The truth is, I had died and my father managed to upload my conciousness into a titan, and this happened to be the titan he was repairing at the time. "I'm glad that my old girl was put to good use, he said with a smile.

I'd love to stay and talk but I gotta go I'm afraid. "Alright" eventually we made it to Sarah Briggs. "Commander, there is someone we would like you to meet. Her name is Emma, and she was killed when a grenade exploded and the resulting shrapnel killed her, but her father somehow transferred her conciousness into a titan he was repairing.

I know, he's an old friend of mine. You knew my father? Yep, he's a retired scientist, for the militia, his research was phenomenal! I-i didn't know.....  you should know your father never talks about his past. Yeah, good point. So you have decided to join us I take it? Y-yes ma'am, I would be honored to join the fight to free this galaxy from the tyranny of the IMC.

We went to the titan repair bay and I got my thruster tanks refuelled and any damage fixed, then I met this guy she was talking about. This is tai, lastimosa, captain of the SRS. "You can step out of your titan kid, we're not under attack."

With all due respect sir, I WOULD step out of the titan if I wasn't the titan itself. I said, opening the cockpit to an empty seat. He just stood there stunned. I'll leave you two to talk for a bit. Emma, I'll be back here in a few hours. Roger that commander. "So kid, how'd you become a titan anyway?"

I sat down the best I could. Well you see..... and I told him the whole story up to this point. "You remind me alot of my titan, BT-7274. He is a vanguard class titan, and the only chassis that we didn't have to steal from the imc, they are extremely intelligent......sometimes too intelligent." I did hear two pilots talking about him. Suddenly this chamber behind tai opened up and someone stepped out.

Ah jack, you done in the simpod? Yes sir, just finished, but who is this? He said pointing to me. This is Emma. Nice to meet you Emma, I am Jack Cooper. Say, Emma would you mind letting Cooper sit in your cockpit? It's been a dream of his to become a pilot and since you're currently not linked to anyone yet, maybe he could get used to what it's like?

Not linked to anyone sir? It's a long story Jack, I'll tell ya about it later.  No sir, I want my first time, to be when I become a pilot and get my own titan.  Very well Cooper, as you wish. I respect that Jack. Although sir, I have never seen such an intelligent northstar. That's because there's a human in there, not an ai.
