My headcanons for Whitty on hugging UwU

He doesn't get much affection in general and he doesn't really have much experience with it.

You go in for the hug

"What are you doing?"

Really confused. Why are you trapping him.

"Hugging you."

"Why"

"I like you"

"......OH THIS IS AFFECTION-"

He appreciates it but give him some time. He's used to cold, cold, hard concrete; not warm, warm, soft human.

After about a month he'll silently stare at you as a way to initiate hugging, he doesn't know how else to do it.

Took a couple awkward instances before you understood what he wanted.

You would be in the kitchen making a sandwich or something and he would stare for a bit at you.

"Do you want a sandwich?"

"..."

"....Do you want a hug?"

*nods*

Eventually he comes around and figures things out.

He'll snake his arm around your waist or rest his arms around your shoulders.

One day you were laying in bed on your back just playing on your phone.

Whitty pulls up and walks in.

"Hi, baby!"

He didn't say anything.

*Lays down next to you

**Pulls you close to him

***Just lays there and puts his head in the crook of your neck

Doesn't hug in public, he's a "cool dude"

Gets really shy if you make a big deal out of the hugs and will slowly pull away, be nice he's trying QwQ
