I hadn't slept one bit or left my room since yesterday. I was paranoid about what would happen, but I planned what I needed to do this morning to have a chance at getting around this.

Act like nothing is out of the ordinary, no matter what.

Taking a deep breath to calm my anxieties about how things might play out, I sit up and get changed, making sure to wear a long sleeve to cover the scratch marks on my arms. If anyone says I look tired I'll tell them I was up evidence hunting...Easy enough excuse.

Walking down the hall as I try and tell myself not to overthink it too much, my eyes trace to the closed door that the crime scene lay behind. Passing it was difficult, to say the least. It felt like the air was heavy - almost suffocatingly so.

Attempting to shake the sensation, I see the shadow of the tipped over chair at the bottom of the doorway. It made me shudder, so I look away as I quicken my pace.

But I could've sworn that I saw another shadow move as I did.

Deciding not to look back as that feeling of dread kept growing, I continue downstairs to the dining room and sit at my usual place. Thankfully, the feeling faded, but I still tapped my foot uneasily as I saw the little kids come in, followed by Watari and, eventually, Rodger.

I just have to keep it together and act like nothing is wrong.

I tell myself, repeating that mantra a few times as everyone gets settled in. Nate looks around almost as soon as he climbs into his seat, the same toy robot in his arms from last time. Playing with it for a moment, he looks behind his shoulder as if he were expecting someone to ask to put it away - seemingly a little surprised to see nobody there yet.

Funny how the five year old caught on before anyone else.

Returning his focus to the toy in front of him, he walks it across the table and looks behind him again, frowning suspiciously as he moves the plastic arms.

"...Where's A?" He finally asks, looking at Miheal, who shrugs.

"Did you see A yet today Matt?" Miheal asks down the line, and I listen carefully while I pretend not to pay attention. Matt didn't answer other than a curt shake of the head, and was instead engrossed in a Gameboy, tapping away at it as Miheal quickly gets distracted.

"Hey, lemme see what you're playing." He says, the subject of A losing his attention quickly while Nate frowns, still playing with his robot - however much less enthusiastically. It seemed everyone had toys at the table this morning, and A was never this late.

It was only a matter of time before someone found him.

"Mr. Wammy?" Nate eventually calls out, and Watari stops chatting with Rodger for a moment, walking over.

"Yes, what is it?"

"Where's A?" He asks, to which Watari looks around, his eyebrows furrowing and his expression showing a slight worry when A wasn't to be seen.

"B, have you seen A this morning?" He asks, and I push down my feelings of anxiety as shake my head.

"I only came down a few minuets ago myself. His door was closed when I passed his room."

"Hm. Would you go knock? Its not like him to sleep in. I'm sure he would be right upset if he missed breakfast."

"...Okay." I agree, getting out from my chair as Nates eyes follow me.
