Turning around the front of the homestead, Marina's stomach growled. The smell of baked potatoes and roast chicken in her nose, she headed to the kitchen where Fry ordered the others around, he himself busy with making the sauce.

"Hey Fry, smells delicious" Marina said as she leant against the open door, watching as he struggled.

"Shuck" he yelled. Startled at her sudden appearance, he had touched the sauce pan with his arm. Rubbing his burnt skin, he glared at her. "Greenie, I told ya, no Gladers in here"

Ignoring his warning, Marina grabbed some ice from the fridge, a wet towel and placed it on the burnt spot. Holding it in place for a minute, she smiled. "Sorry"

"How ya feelin', back to normal?" Frypan inquired while she held his arm. The dark skin had turned white where the pan had touched it.

Still covering it with the towel, Marina looked at him. "Good as new" Her sights fell onto the sauce as it bubbled and boiled over. With one quick pull, she removed it from the heated hotplate and placed it on a cool one. "Smells good, rosemary, right?"

"Yeah, ya know the names now?"

"Sort of. I'm still figuring that out" Marina gestured him to hold his own arm, went over to the spice cabinet and in front of all eyes, and added some more spices to the sauce. With a spatula she mixed the whole thing and handed a teaspoon full of sauce to Fry to try it. "Go on"

Letting the hot liquid linger on his tongue, he nodded his head while tasting it. "Better, what ya use?"

Shrugging her shoulders, Marina presented him with the herbs she had put into the sauce. "That" her fingers gestured to the Thyme and Oregano. A second later, in the corner of her eyes, she spotted Gally outside. "If the arm doesn't get better, you come to me, all right?" she told Frypan, spun around and through the back door sprinted to reach Gally.

"Yes ma'am" Fry joked, shook his head while watching her leave, pulled the towel off his arm, and returned to work.

Storming outside and past the homestead, Marina caught up with Gally. "Hey" she said, turning her sprint into a walk. Ignoring her own panting, she kept up with Gally while he ignored her. "Newt said I called out for you in my sleep" She checked out his indifferent expression and continued. "Are you mad because I didn't remember?"

"No, Greenie, I gotta work. I ain't got time for ya games now"

"What games?" Scrunching her nose Marina halted, glared after Gally as he hurried off. Her head turning in the direction of the blood house, she put aside Gally's strange behaviour and focused on her destination. With one last glance in Gally's direction, she spotted Adam stalking her in the distance, thus she turned on her heels and went straight to Newt who stood near Zart, arguing about something.

"Hey, Mari" Zart greeted her, waving his arm. "Lookin' good"

"Thanks, good to be up and about" Mari smiled at him, watching Newt from the corner of her eye. "So what's up?"

"It's too dry for the plants. See here?" Zart gestured at the tomato plants before him the stems all brown and wrinkly. "The dirt's dried out, no idea why"

Scrunching her nose, Marina glared at the sky. It looked no different than usual. No rain had fallen since she came to the Glade and according to Henry neither had it ever before, so the water had to have a different source. "And if we dig and see if there's any water down there?"

His hand on her shoulder, Newt laughed. He turned her in direction of the blood house. "See that? That's where we dug yesterday, no water"

"Are we running out? Where does the drinking water come from?"
