Y/N POV

One year later

I've been in the maze for one year now. There are eight of the creatures in the maze and I've named all of them. There is Will in section 1, Fang in section 2, Ava in section 3, Chad in section 4, Lee in section 5, Quinn in section 6, Octavia in section 7, and Scott in section 8. I'm really close friends with Will, and Scott. Will and Scott listen to me whereas the rest don't listen. I run to the center of the maze on the top of the walls. I get to the center of the glade and sit on the wall hiding the rest of my body.

4 hours later

I hear a loud alarm sound. My hands rush to my ears to cover them. The alarm turns off and a big door within the ground opens. A darker skinned boy with black hair climbs out of the cage and looks around. I wish I could go say hi to him but, I'm not supposed to talk to them unless they see me.
Night starts to approach so I run back to my area of the maze.

4 months later

I sit on the top of the wall everyday and draw the boys. More boys have come up and I know some of their names. After Alby came up Minho with Nick followed with some other boys I didn't learn of. Then Gally followed with Jeff and the newest is Newt. I like all the boys but I really like Newt. I look down at the boys and see all the boys talking.
"We are going to start running to see what's inside of there." Alby tells the boys and he points to the maze.

4 more months later

The boys have been running the maze for four months now. Newt and Minho usually run the maze. I follow them to make sure they don't get hurt.
Today Newt got up early and ran into the maze. I am suspicious as Minho isn't with him. He runs to a wall with lots of vines. He climbs up the vines and slowly he gets to the top.
I barely hear him but he says "I'm sorry Minho"
I climb down the vines slowly. I get halfway down and I look up at him and he is ready to jump. He jumps and I jump to catch him.
I hit the ground with a thud. My back is in agonizing pain as well as my right leg and arms. I slowly sit up and look at Newt. It looks like his leg is broken. I look at my arms and left leg and see they look broken as well. I look at the ground behind me and see blood on it. I slowly grab my shirt and see its cover in blood.
"Who are you? Why did you save me?" someone said I look down at Newt and see he was the one talking.
I slowly get on my knee in agonizing pain "Your fine. Forget about me."
"How can I forget about you? You saved me and your hurt!" he goes to stand up.
"Don't stand up and I'm fine."

Newt POV

My leg is in so much pain. I look at this girl that I've never seen before. She stands up and screams.
"Stop! Don't hurt yourself more!" I yell at her. She just looks at me and gives me a smile and turns the corner.
After a couple minutes I hear footsteps coming towards me. The footsteps stop just before it turns the corner. Minho stands there and looks at me. He runs to me and grabs me.
"What did you do Newt?" Minho looks at me.
Minho puts my arm around his shoulder and helps me back to the glade.

We get to the glade and Alby comes running.
"What happened?" He asks Minho
"I don't know," Minho responds.
I turn to Minho. "You have to go back where I was, follow the blood and you'll find a girl. She saved me."
"You're probably seeing stuff Newt you are in pain." Minho says.
I look up at Alby and he nods at Minho.
"I'll be back." Minho hands me to Alby and runs back into the maze.
